ABOUT THE UNITED STATES VETERANS BBS
The United States Veterans BBS [USVBBS] was started in
September of 1986 as a trial to see what is was like to be a
SYSOP, running with a SHAREWARE version of Wildcat!.
The initial hardware was a Zenith 161 portable running at 9.5
MHZ with a 30 MB hard drive with a 1200 baud Multitech
modem..
It has grown today to 6.6GB of hard drives, Novell 3.11
Network, 5 lines with Practical Peripherals 14.4 modems,
95,000+ files, without the use of CD-ROM's, 900+ Net/Echo
mail conferences, 700,000+ messages on-line, 4 486-40MHZ
computers, DigiBoard 8 port board, and many hours of time and
effort.
USVBBS is now one of the largest BBS in the Midwest.
USVBBS is a QMODEM/QMPRO Alpha/Beta test site, MSI Wildcat!
Beta test site.
Future enhancements are to add a 10GB read/write optical
storage and 3 more phone lines along with more Shareware
files.
We have made every effort to ensure that all the files are
correctly named, not commercial, and integrity checked.
Please let us know if you find any files you think may have a
problem!
Thank you to all the users, Co-Sysop's and U.S. Veterans
Computer Company [who provides the hardware] for all your
support.
