  8. Note:     The term "vendor" is used to refer to any person, company or group
  9.           distributing the evaluation version of My Little Realm's Private
  10.           Library program by any means for profit or for any other purpose.
  11.  
  12.           The distribution license agreements are immediately below.  
  13.  
  14.           The required contents of the distribution disk are listed near
  15.           line 47 of this document.  The required contents of the .ZIP file
  16.           are listed near line 62 of this document.

  18.           You'll find my name, address and phone number, along with 
  19.           descriptions of Private Library, at the end of this document.

  21.           The .ZIP file ID is MLRPRI25.ZIP.

  23.           The registration price is $20 (USA).  The benefits are listed at
  24.           the end of this document near the descriptions.  Possible product 
  25.           categories would be Education/Bibliography, Flat File Databases for 
  26.           Home Libraries, and Organizational Products for the home.

  33.                          Distribution Requirements

  39. As the exclusive copyright holder for My Little Realm's Private Library 
  40. program, John L. Salisbury (also called the author) authorizes distribution 
  41. only in accordance with the following restrictions:
  42.  
  43.   o  ASP Vendors in good standing are hereby granted permission to distribute 
  44.      the Private Library package.  Non-ASP member vendors must request 
  45.      permission prior to distributing this package.
  46.  
  47.   o  The Private Library package - including all related program files and 
  48.      documentation files - cannot be modified in any way and must be 
  49.      distributed as a complete package, without exception.  
  50.  
  51.      For disk vendors, the distribution disk's required contents are:

  64.      For Sysops, the MLRPRI25.ZIP file's required contents are:

  75.   o  No disk vendor may place other authors' works on the Private Library 
  76.      disk.  Small additions to the package, such as the introductory or 
  77.      installation batch files used by many shareware disk vendors, are 
  78.      acceptable.

  80.   o  No price or other compensation may be charged by any vendor for the 
  81.      Private Library software package.  Vendors may charge the standard fees 
  82.      for the materials and services they provide.

  85. Disk Sets & CD-ROMs:

  87. The Private Library package cannot be sold as part of some other inclusive 
  88. package.  Nor can it be included in any commercial software packaging offer 
  89. without a written agreement from John L.Salisbury.
  90.  
  91. ASP Approved Vendors who wish to distribute the Private Library package as 
  92. part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM package) may 
  93. do so provided that all the other restrictions are met.
  94.  
  95. Non-ASP Member Vendors who wish to distribute the Private Library package as 
  96. part of a collection (such as PsL's MegaDisk set, or a CD-ROM package) must 
  97. obtain permission from the author prior to beginning such a distribution.
  98.  
  99. Disk-of-the-Month (or Subscription) Distribution:
  100. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  101. If you would like to distribute the Private Library package as a Disk-of-
  102. the-Month, or as part of a subscription or monthly service, then the
  103. following restrictions apply:

  105.   o  ASP Associate (Disk Vendor) Members in good standing are hereby 
  106.      given permission to distribute the Private Library package under the 
  107.      Disk-of-the-Month style of distribution.
  108.  
  109.   o  Non-ASP Vendors must contact the author in advance to ensure that 
  110.      they have the most current version of the software.
  111.  
  112.   o  Vendors (ASP and non-ASP Members) cannot use a Disk-of-the-Month 
  113.      distribution to use up their inventory of old (out of date) disks.  
  114.      Only current versions of the Private Library package may be shipped 
  115.      as Disk-of-the-Month disks.
  116.  
  117.   o  A printed copy of the online documentation may not be reproduced 
  118.      in whole or in part, using any means, without the written permission 
  119.      of the author.  
  120.  
  121.   o  The Private Library package cannot be rented or leased to others.
  122.  
  123.   o  No vendor may list Private Library in advertisements, catalogs, or 
  124.      other literature which describes Private Library as "FREE SOFTWARE".  
  125.  
  126.   o  The author expressly prohibits the distribution of outdated versions 
  127.      of the Private Library package without written permission.  If the 
  128.      version you have is over twelve (12) months old, please contact the
  129.      author to ensure that you have the most current version.  
  130.  
  131.   o  Vendors shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
  132.      disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed 
  133.      program except as provided in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized 
  134.      use shall result in immediate and automatic termination of this 
  135.      license.

  137. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to the author.

  171. Private Library gives you the opportunity to put all of your personal volumes
  172. online.  Your works can be cataloged by type (books, cd's, tapes, etc.), or 
  173. by category (fiction, non-fiction, or use the Dewey Decimal System), or even 
  174. by ownership (who owns each work/volume/recording).

  176. Your file can be viewed, sorted and printed.  You can perform searches on any
  177. field (title, author, category) by simply telling Private Library the 
  178. character string you want to find and in which field.  It's a great way to 
  179. get organized!
