  25.      Running a Dedicated Server
  26.  
  27.      Network performance can be improved by running servers as dedicated.  A
  28.      dedicated server is one that does not run simultaneously as a client. 
  29.      Also, the less the server is used as a workstation the better it will
  30.      perform as a server.  Performance may be further enhanced by running the
  31.      auxiliary utility DEDICATE.COM found in the C:\NWLITE directory.

  33.      If DEDICATE.COM is not in the NWLITE directory, it can be copied from the
  34.      original (or backup) product installation disk.  Load DEDICATE after
  35.      loading SERVER.  This can be accomplished by typing DEDICATE at the DOS
  36.      command prompt if C:\NWLITE is in your PATH or typing C:\NWLITE\DEDICATE
  37.      if it is not.  Adding this command to the STARTNET.BAT file will load
  38.      DEDICATE every time you bring up the server.
