▒▒ Introduction ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
Robo Juke Box is the end result of what I did with ROBOSND.ARJ (collection of
.SND compiled by Chris Duke (author of RIM (Robo-Board Icon Mover, and System
Operator of BBS++))). It provides two menus (JUKEBOX1.MNU and JUKEBOX2.MNU)
from which the user can play any selection from the .SND files Chris Duke has
in the ROBOSND.ARJ file. Please see Chris's document, ROBOSND.DOC included in
ROBOSND.ARJ for more information concerning ROBO Sound Files.
Robo Juke Box uses the 40 sound files Chris Duke has compiled, renames them,
to a Menu Number/Menu Choice format maintaining the .SND extensions.
Example: 1G.SND
| \_________ This letter is the Robo Juke Box Menu letter the user
| can choose to select the sound file they want played.
\__________ This number is the Robo Juke Box Menu number.
▒▒ Installation ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
1. You MUST have a copy of ROBOSND.ARJ in order to run Robo Juke Box. If
you don't have it, it can be downloaded or file requested from Whispers BBS
(904) 744-5624 FidoNet 1:112/90 or from BBS++ (619) 278-0870 WorldNet
62:1900/14. Both systems support 14.4K bps V.32bis V.42.bis file transfers.
2. Extract all the files in RBJUKBX1.ARJ and all the *.SND files from
ROBOSND.ARJ into your \ROBOBBS\GRAPHIC\ directory.
3. Execute the Juke Box Installation Batch file (INSTJUKE.BAT). Since there
are 40 .SND files in ROBOSND.ARJ, and each needs a like-named .RBO and .TXT
file, the INSTJUKE.BAT file will take the JUKEBOX.RBO and JUKEBOX.TXT and
make a copy of each of them for each of the .SND files. It will also rename
each of the .SND file contained in ROBOSND.ARJ to the Menu Number/Menu Choice
format. Once all the files have been created, INSTJUKE.BAT will clean up after
itself by deleting the ROBOJUKE.RBO and ROBOJUKE.TXT files.
4. Add the Juke Box Icon from BUTTONS.ICO to your Main Menu. (I think it's
Icon number 12.) Be sure to add a Hot Spot to the Icon, too.
5. Adjust any security levels you deem fit in the Juke Box. All commands
should be pre-set to >= 0, with no Access Flags set.

I know this documentation isn't the greatest, but I really would like some
feedback on what you and your users think of the Robo Juke Box. My FidoNet
address is 1:112/90 and the BBS number is (904)744-5624. I have tested this
my 386DX40 IBM Compatible and haven't had any problems at all!
I want to thank Chris Duke for gathering and converting the .SND files and to
Seth Hamilton for writting such a beautiful BBS software package! Thanks!
