  11. Summary:

  13. When the DELTREE.EXE command is executed on a directory that does not
  14. exist, no error message is displayed and you are returned to the
  15. MS-DOS prompt. This behavior can be misleading if you mistype a
  16. directory name--since no error message is displayed, you may think
  17. that the directory you were trying to delete was successfully deleted.

  19. More Information:

  21. If the directory you want to delete is specified correctly with the
  22. DELTREE.EXE command, you will receive the following message:
  23.  
  24.    Delete directory <DirectoryName> and all of its subdirectories?
  25.    [yn]
  26.  
  27. where <DirectoryName> is the name of the directory you want to delete.
  28. You are required to answer "y" to delete the entire subdirectory or
  29. "n" to cancel the operation.

  31. For more information on the DELTREE command, type "HELP DELTREE"
  32. (without the quotation marks) at the command prompt.
