  11. Summary:

  13. If your CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT, or SYSTEM.INI file has 512 or more
  14. lines, MemMaker displays the following error message:
  15.  
  16.    MemMaker cannot continue because the AUTOEXEC.BAT,
  17.    CONFIG.SYS, or Windows SYSTEM.INI file is too long.
  18.    The file must be less than 512 lines long
  19.  
  20.         * To undo MemMaker's changes, press ENTER.
  21.  
  22. To work around this problem, exit MemMaker, reduce the size of the
  23. file that is causing the error, and restart MemMaker.

  27. You can use MS-DOS Editor to determine the length of a text file. For
  28. example:
  29.  
  30. 1. Start MS-DOS Editor and load a text file such as AUTOEXEC.BAT. For
  31.    example, type the following and press ENTER:
  32.  
  33.       EDIT \AUTOEXEC.BAT
  34.  
  35. 2. Press CTRL+END.
  36.  
  37.    The number of lines in the text file is displayed in the
  38.    lower-right corner of the screen.
