  13. If you have multiple installations of Windows on your hard drive,
  14. DoubleSpace may not correctly update the SYSTEM.INI file.

  16. More Information:

  18. Windows stores the location of the permanent swapfile in the [386enh]
  19. section of the SYSTEM.INI file. When you install DoubleSpace, it must
  20. find the SYSTEM.INI file and update the PermSwapDosDrive= setting to
  21. point to the correct drive. If you have multiple copies of Windows
  22. installed, or Windows is not in the path, DoubleSpace cannot find the
  23. SYSTEM.INI file.

  28. To workaround this problem, edit the SYSTEM.INI file and change the
  29. drive letter for the PermSwapDosDrive= setting to the DoubleSpace host
  30. drive. For example, if Windows is installed on drive C: and you
  31. installed DoubleSpace, creating drive H:, you would need to edit you
  32. SYSTEM.INI file and change the PermSwapDosDrive=c to
  33. PermSwapDosDrive=h.
