EXL
EXL is basically a file typer which can also extract files from
libraries, simultaneously unsqueezing, uncrunching, or un-LZH'ing in
either case.
TYPING
To type a standalone file to the console, simply enter:
EXL file.tqt
EXL other.dzc
EXL report.lyt
To extract a file from a .LBR file and type it to the console:
EXL LIBRNAME Filein.lib
EXL LIBRNAME File2.dyc
EXL LIBRNAME File3.nqt
To get a directory of a library so you know what you want typed:
EXL LIBRNAME .
Entering a "." as the first parameter in any of the usages listed
above will send the typed file to the printer as well as to the console.
In this case, the output is NOT paged.
EXTRACTION
EXL is a very limited file extraction utility, as well. To
extract a file to the current drive and user area:
EXL = LIBRNAME Filename
To do the same single extraction to a different drive and/or user
area:
EXL =B5: LIBRNAME Filename
The colon (:) after the disk or user number MUST be included.
Similarly, you can specify the source to be on another drive and/or
user area, as well:
EXL =b5: a8:librname
If you specify only a drive, or only a user area, the unspecified
item is set to the current value.
The author, who didn't put his name in the .DOC file, nor his address,
says that he wants to add a filesweep mode for multiple extractions
and/or decompressions. It MAY be the person who wrote QTERM.
