  3. 3_Drives v2.50: Universal Device Driver that allows you to add a 2nd
  4. 16-bit Hard Disk Drive Interface to your DOS AT (286+) system. Add up
  5. to two more MFM, RLL, ESDI, IDE AT Interface drives for a total of
  6. THREE drives. Windows compatible. Fully functional. Registration info

  10. REGISTRATION INFORMATION
  11.  
  12. Registration Procedure:
  13.  
  14. Dustbowl Designs, Inc. 3_Drives.HDD device driver is a complete and
  15. fully functional Shareware program.  You are invited to try and test
  16. the device driver for a time period of 14 days (2 weeks) in its
  17. unregistered status.  After this 14 day trail period, the device
  18. driver must be registered with Dustbowl Designs, Inc. or disengaged.

  20. Unlike the flexibility provided in Shareware Applications for
  21. registration reminders, a Shareware Device Driver is often out of
  22. sight and out of mind.  So, please take care to remember that you are
  23. still obliged to follow the rules of the 14 day trail period.  This
  24. shareware version requires the user to press a specific key to
  25. continue the boot process and displays a "Don't Delay, Register Today"
  26. reminder.  Registered versions boot through without ANY delays,
  27. whatsoever.

  29. DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE
  30.  
  31. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before
  32. buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue using it beyond
  33. the trial period, you are expected to register.
  34.  
  35. Copyright laws apply to Shareware software products, and the copyright
  36. holder retains all rights, with a few specific exceptions as stated
  37. below. The author specifically grants the right to copy and distribute
  38. the software, either to all or to a specific group. For example, some
  39. authors require written permission before a commercial disk vendor may
  40. copy their Shareware products.

  42. Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You should
  43. find software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether it's
  44. commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes fitting your needs
  45. easier, because you can try before you buy. And because the overhead
  46. is low, prices are low also. Shareware has the ultimate money-back
  47. guarantee -- if you do not use the product, you do not pay for it.

  49. 3_Drives is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge to the
  50. user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your friends, but
  51. please do not give it away altered or as part of another system.  The
  52. essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal computer
  53. users with quality software without high prices, and yet to provide
  54. incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products.

  56. If you continue to use 3_Drives after 14 days, you must make a
  57. registration payment of $30.00 to Dustbowl Designs, Inc.. Payment of
  58. the registration fee will license one copy of v3.0 for use on any one
  59. computer at any one time.  You have the option at registration time to
  60. opt to register the enhanced 4_Drives v3.0.

  63.   * Ultra-fast program loading without delays or required user
  64.     intervention.
  65.   * Program supports up to 10 logical drives per physical drive.
  66.   * Fast I/O routines: READ/WRITE MULTIPLE sectors or READ/WRITE FAST

  68.   * Includes 4_Park, a four drive head-parking/screen-saver utility.
  69.   * Discount on version upgrades.
  70.   * Access to advanced technical support and registered user sections

  72.   * Postscript version of the documentation.

  74. You must treat this software just like a book.  An example is that
  75. this software may be used by any number of people and may be freely
  76. moved from one computer location to another, so long as there is no
  77. possibility of it being used at one location while it is being used at
  78. another.

  80. Commercial users of 3_Drives must register and pay for their copies of
  81. 3_Drives within 14 days of first use or their license is withdrawn.
  82. Site-License arrangements may be made by contacting Dustbowl Designs,
  83. Inc..

  85. Anyone distributing 3_Drives v2.5 for any kind of remuneration must
  86. first contact Dustbowl Designs, Inc. at the address below for
  87. authorization. This authorization will be automatically granted to
  88. distributors recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for
  89. shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering
  90. 3_Drives v2.5 immediately (However Dustbowl Designs, Inc. must still
  91. be advised so that the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the
  92. latest version of 3_Drives).

  94. You are encouraged to pass a copy of 3_Drives v2.5 shareware
  95. distribution ZIP file along to your friends for evaluation.  Please
  96. encourage them to register their copy if they find that they can use
  97. it.

  99. We have studied hundreds of shareware products in order to determine a
  100. mutually acceptable registration fee.  This wonderful device driver
  101. does provide a true enhancement to your system and likely allows you
  102. to derive benefit and system uses otherwise impossible.  Therefore, we
  103. have established the following registration fees:
