SUBJECT: Novell DCB ( Disk Co-Processor Board )
We have the M2614SA and Novell Disk Co-processor board running
Netware 286 2.15x (SFT/ADV) and Netware 386 v3.1.
Drive Setup:
1.0 - Disable on CNH1 the following options:
Jumpers Set To Definition
1-2-3 2-3 (disable) SCSI Bus Parity
4-5-6 5-6 (disable) Synchronous Transfer
Novell Setup:
1.0 - Run DISKSET and configure the DCB with a GENERIC SCSI drive.
2.0 - Select Disk Co-processor Board for the disk driver during
NETGEN on * CHANNEL 1 or higher.
* This will depend on which DCB you have that will take the proper
channel. Please use the following reference.
1st DCB 883-000198-001 4th DCB 883-000198-004
2nd DCB 883-000198-002 5th DCB 883-000198-005
3rd DCB 883-000198-003 6th DCB 883-000198-006
The IRQ and I/O port are jumper configurable to suit your needs
please refer to your DCB manual.
Netware 386 Note:
If you are having problems recognizing the drive in Netware
386, run diskset from your 286 netware contained in DSK_DRV_.001
and delete the existing drive type (if any) and save it. Run
SERVER.exe and load the DCB.dsk NLM to initialize the driver and
load DISKSET.nlm and configure the DCB with a GENERIC SCSI drive.
