Quickdex is a replacement for the Cardfile program that comes with Windows. Unlike Cardfile, Quickdex allows you to search forward and backward, allows a regular expression search, and allows (essentially) unlimited file and card sizes. If you know Quickdex on the Mac, this is an improved version.
This release is an updated version of Quickdex 1.01 containing a number of new features including:
- file size limited by RAM
- much faster search (search through 1MB in < 1 sec. on 486/25)
- regular expression searches
- edit menu in text boxes (hit the right mouse button)
- remembers recently used files in the system menu
- scroll buttons
- better 'Undo'
