  1. Print File:                                                                                                                                                         * "Print File"  will print any disk file  using the print settings you             specify.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Enter Print Settings:                                                                                                                                               * "Enter Print Settings"  lets you  specify the  settings to  use when            printing. Available settings are listed below:                                                                                                                      File type <T>ext or <N>on-text - to print ASCII text files enter                "T", or enter "N" to print non-text files.                                                                                                                      Line length  for non-text files  -  enter the  line  wrap-around                length for non-text files.                                                                                                                                      Top margin  -  enter the number of  lines to skip at  the top of                each page.                                                                                                                                                      Left margin  - enter the number of columns to skip at the begin-                ing of each line.                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Press Esc to exit/any other key to continue...                                   Enter Print Settings (cont):                                                                                                                                              Pitch  <P>ica,  <E>lite, or  <C>ondensed  -  enter the number of                characters per inch. Choose "P"  for 10 characters per inch, "E"                for 12 chaeacters per inch, or  <C>  for 15 or 17 characters per                inch.                                                                                                                                                           Lines/inch - enter the number of lines to print per inch.                                                                                                       Paper length - enter the form length in lines.                                                                                                                  Begin on page  -  enter the page  in the file  on which to begin                printing.  When printing  a text file  the page number is incre-                mented when a form feed character is encountered.  When printing                a non-text file  the page number is incremented  when the number                of lines in a form is reached.                                                                                                                                  End on page  -  enter the page  in the document  on which to end                printing.                                                                                                                                                       Pause between pages <Y> or <N> - choose "Y" if you need to pause                between pages to change paper. Printing is paused until a key is                pressed and the form feed is suppressed.                                                                                                              Press Esc to exit/PgUp or  for previous page/any other key to continue...       Enter Print Settings (cont):                                                                                                                                              Quality <D>raft or <F>inal -  choose "D" for faster draft print-                or "F" for higher quality final printing.                                                                                                                       Number of copies  -  enter the number of copies of the file that                you wish to print.                                                                                                                                              Printer driver -  enter the name of the printer driver file that                corresponds to the printer that you are using.  A driver for the                Epson FX (EPSONFX) is supplied with GEdit.                                                                                                                      Parallel <P?> or Serial <S?>  -  enter the type of port to which                the printer is connected. For example, enter "P1" if the printer                is connected to parallel port number 1,  or "S2" for serial port                number 2.                                                                                                                                                       Baud (300, 1200, 2400, 4800, or 9600) - if you are printing from                a serial port choose the  baud rate at which the printer is set.                Parity is set to no, data bits to 8, and stop bits to 1.                                                                                                  NOTE: Additional printer drivers may be created by running the program,               PCODES.EXE. See the manual for details.                                                                                                               Press PgUp or  for previous page/any other key to continue...
