  4.     Information on over 4000 movies is now available in the form of PC
  5. disks.    With the Movie Database, movie fans can now search for types of
  6. information not readily gleaned from printed movie directories.  For
  7. instance, would you like to know:
  8.     - what movies Debra Winger has appeared in
  9.     - what was director John Carpenter's first movie
  10.     - what Sally Field movie featured Arnold Schwarzenegger
  11.     (Hint: the actor who plays T.C. on Magnum P.I. and the actor
  12.      who played Freddy in the Nightmare on Elm Street movies were
  13.      also in this 1976 movie that starred Jeff Bridges)
  14.     - speaking of Magnum, what bomb did Tom Selleck and Roger Mosely make
  15.      together in 1973
  16.     - what horror movie featured Darryl Hannah and Rachel Ward
  17.     - what Akira Kurosawa movies are available on videotape
  18.     - what movies are based on books written by Alastair MacLean
  19.     - what Pia Zadora.... um, never mind
  20.     - or, perhaps you just saw a movie in which one of the actors looked
  21.       familiar but you couldn't remember which movie you saw him in before.

  25. names, date of release, MPAA parental rating, and our own quality rating
  26. and classification for many of the movies now available on videotape.  Any
  27. of this information can be searched for with software supplied with the
  28. disk, or with most popular word processing programs.
