  1.                     THE FILES ON YOUR PC-CALC+ DISKS
  2.  
  3. This information is provided so that you'll know the function of each file
  4. and program in the PC-Calc+ system.  Some of these files came with your
  5. PC-Calc+ disks.  Some of them are created during the course of using
  6. PC-Calc.
  7.  
  8. COLOR.PRO
  9. This is an optional profile for running PC-Calc+ on a color monitor.
  10.  
  11. CONVERT.EXE
  12. CONVERT.EXE is the import and export program.  You can convert your
  13. PC-Calc+ data to comma delimited format, DIF and 1-2-3.  Likewise, you can
  14. import your DIF and 1-2-3 data into PC-Calc+ by using the CONVERT program.
  15. CONVERT.EXE will also convert old PC-Calc data (PC-Calc versions 1.0
  16. through 3.0) into the PC-Calc+ Version 2.0 format, and PC-Calc+ Version 1.0
  17. files into the Version 2.0 format.

  19. filename.PCC
  20. This is the data, defaults, etc.  that you have entered into your
  21. spreadsheet.
  22.  
  23. filename.PRO
  24. This file provides profile information that will be used whenever you load
  25. it.  You may save an unlimited number of profiles for later recall.
  26.  
  27. filename.MAC
  28. This file is created when you define and save macros.  It contains the
  29. macro character strings.  You may save an unlimited number of macro files
  30. for later recall.

  32. filename.PRN
  33. This file contains printer information.  It contains the printer control
  34. and printer port information.  You may save an unlimited number of PRN
  35. files for later recall.  The PC-Calc+ Utility Disk contains the following
  36. PRN files: EPSON.PRN for Epson and IBM dot matrix printers, OKIDATA.PRN
  37. for Okidata dot matrix printers, TANDY.PRN for Tandy (Radio Shack) DMP
  38. dot matrix printers, NEC_PIN.PRN for NEC Pinwriter dot matrix printers,
  39. TOSHIBA.PRN for Toshiba dot matrix printers and HP.PRN for HP Laser Jet
  40. printers (independent of the cartridge, courier portrait and landscape
  41. defaults).

  43. FILES
  44. This file.
  45.  
  46. GRAPH.ME
  47. This file is created by PCG2.EXE to keep track of your answers to questions
  48. about graphs.  You can run PCG2.EXE as a standalone program when the
  49. GRAPH.ME file is present.
  50.  
  51. LOAN.PCC
  52. This is a sample spreadsheet file which can be used as a loan
  53. amortization calculator.  You can calculate either the loan amount,
  54. number of payments, interest rate or payment amount.
  55. 00P90.EXE
  56. P90.EXE is a sideways printing program.  It prints wide text files at 90
  57. degrees.

  59. PCC.EXE
  60. The main program module of PC-Calc+.  It must reside either in the root
  61. directory or somewhere on the DOS PATH.  If it does not, you must be in
  62. the directory containing PCC.EXE to be able to run PC-Calc+.

  64. PCC.HLP
  65. The help file used by PC-Calc+ whenever you press F1.  This file is
  66. optional, but highly recommended if you have room for it.  You must place
  67. it on the same drive and in the same subdirectory with PCC.EXE.
  68.  
  69. PCCALC.PRO
  70. A control file used by PC-Calc+ to determine your operating environment.
  71. Contains information about your printer, screen colors, etc.  It's created
  72. by the Configure command from the main menu.  This file is optional,
  73. because if it is missing PC-Calc+ will assume a standard set of defaults
  74. (no color support and IBM graphics printer).

  76. PCG2.EXE
  77. This is the graph drawing sub-program.  If you will be doing graphs, this
  78. program must be in the same subdirectory as your other PC-Calc+ programs.
  79. If you will not be doing graphs, you can delete this program.
  80.  
  81. PRODUCTS
  82. This file contains an order form and a brief description of ButtonWare
  83. products.
  84.  
  85. READ.ME
  86. A text file provided for additional miscellaneous information.  You can
  87. view this file with any word processor that reads ASCII files, or print it
  88. on your printer with this command:

  90.     COPY A:READ.ME PRN
  91.  
  92. RESPONSE
  93. A text file containing a copy of the User Response Form.  This file may be
  94. printed out to create a feedback response form for mailing to ButtonWare.
  95. You can delete it if you wish.  However, the information ButtonWare
  96. receives on these forms is carefully evaluated.  If you want to let us know
  97. about additional features (or improvements to current ones) in PC-Calc+,
  98. please complete this form and send it to us.

  100. SAMPLE.MAC
  101. This is a sample macro file.

  103. TUTORIAL.PCC
  104. This is a sample spreadsheet that is explained in greater detail in the
  105. Brief Tutorial section of the manual.
