 Enter your name, street address,
 city, state and Zip Code. There
 are two lines for your street
 address, if you need them.
 If you live outside the U.S.,
 please fill out the COUNTRY field.
 Note that foreign orders must
 be payable in U.S. funds.
 If the horse was the FAVORITE in
 his LAST RACE (REGARDLESS OF TRACK
 CONDITION) bit DID NOT win the race,
 type "Y" in this field. You can
 tell if the horse was the favorite
 by looking for an asterisk (*) next
 to the dollar odds in the Racing
 Form listing. If no asterisk appears,
 type "N" in this field.
 This Menu will give you
  wagering reports for
  a particular Horse or
  a particular time
  period.
 Use the cursor keys
  to highlight your
  choice and hit
  ENTER.
 Hit ESC for Main Menu.
Enter the type of
Exotic wager, if any.
 Enter the amount you
 actually COLLECTED in
 each catetory.
Enter the Horse's
actual order of
Enter the amount
finish. I.E., 1, 2
you bet in each
Enter the Tote
category.
Board Payoff for
Each type of bet.

 This Menu will give you
  wagering reports for
  a particular Horse or
  a particular time
  period.
 Use the cursor keys
  to highlight your
  choice and hit
  ENTER.
 Hit ESC for Main Menu.
 Enter the Horse's Call Number.
 This is the number the horse
 is WEARING. It may be different
 from the horse's Post Position.
 If the Horse is moving UP in class, type "U"
 If the Horse is moving DOWN in class, type "D"
 If the horse is staying in the SAME class, type "S"
 Enter your credit card number
 and hit ENTER. Then enter the
 Expiration Date in MM/YY format
 and hit ENTER.
 If you're paying by CHECK or
 MONEY ORDER, leave these fields
 blank.
 This Form will allow you to search
  for ALL wagering results over a
  given period of time.
 Enter the STARTING and ENDING
  dates for your search.
 Hit ESC to return to the previous
  screen.
 Use the left and right cursor
 keys to highlight the type of
 disk you would like us to send
 you. Then hit ENTER.
 If you have both 3.5 and 5.25
 inch drives, you should ask for
 a 3.5 inch disk.
 Important: You must have a hard
 disk or a floppy with at least
 720K capacity to run Thorough-
 bred 5. If your system has
 no hard disk and no high capacity
 floppies, order Thoroughbred 4.
 This is a list of race
  distances.
 To enter a distance in
  a handicapping form,
  highlight the appropriate
  distance and hit ENTER.

 Enter the Winner's Time
 In the Horse's Last Race
 on a Fast or Sloppy Track.
 Enter the Leader's Half-Mile
 Time in the Horse's Last Race
 on a Fast or Sloppy Track.
 This will usually be a time
 in the mid to high 40-seconds.
 This Form will allow you to search
  for wagering results for a horse
  over a given period of time.
 Enter the Horse's Name in the first
  field.
 Then enter the STARTING and ENDING
  dates for your search.
 Hit ESC to return to the previous
  screen.
This will allow you to add or
 change a horse's name. Just
 type the name in the box and
 hit ENTER to store it.
Hit ESC to return to the
 previous screen without
 making changes.
 Enter the Horse's NAME.
 If you want to see if the horse
 is on your list, just hit ENTER.
 The Horse list will pop up and you
 can highlight and select the horse.
 If it's a new horse, you can add
 the horse's name to the list at
 this point by hitting INSERT.
  If the Jockey in the
  horse LAST race on
  a fast or sloppy track
  has won 10% or more of
  his races, type "Y".
  Otherwise, type "N".
 If the Jockey in TODAY's
 race has won 10% or more
 of his races, type "Y".
 Otherwise, type "N".
 Enter the weight that the
 horse will carry in THIS
 race.
 Enter the Jockey's Weight
 in the horses LAST race
 on a fast or sloppy track.
  Enter the weight the
  horse carried in its
  LAST race.
  Enter the weight the
  horse will carry TODAY.
  Enter the date of the
  horse's LAST race on a
  FAST or SLOPPY track.
 Enter the number of lengths
 behind the winner that this
 horse finished in its last
 race on a fast or sloppy track.
 If the horse won his last ract
 just hit ENTER to skip the field.
The Main Menu
 This is the Main Menu. Use the
 cursor keys to highlight
your selection and hit ENTER.
 Handicap Horses: This will take
you to the handicapping
screen. Use this to set up
races and handicap horses.
 Maintain Track List: This will
bring up a list of tracks.
You can add, delete or change
the name of a track.
 Betting Results: This will give
you reports of your wagering
by horse or time period.
 Maintain Horse List: This will
allow you to add, delete
or change horses' names.
This list shows the horses in your database. Use the
  keys to highlight the horse you want.
To find a horse, just type the first few characters of the
  horse's name in the field at the top of the list.
If you're entering a horse's name in another form, you
  can highlight the horse you want and hit ENTER.
To ADD a horse to the list, hit INSERT.
To DELETE a horse from the list, hit DELETE. The horse's
 form will be brought to the screen. Hit ENTER delete it.
 ENTER THE DATE OF
 THE HORSE'S LAST
 RACE ON A FAST OR
 SLOPPY TRACK.
 Use the left and right arrow keys
 to highlight the type of payment.
 Then hit ENTER. The three choices
 are Check/MO, Visa and MasterCard.
 Enter the Horse's Post Position.
 This is the actual position from
 which the horse will be running.
 It may be different than the
 horse's Call Number.
Cambridge Handicapper Pricing
  The Cambridge Thoroughbred Handicapper Version 5 is $50.
  Additional Programs ordered with CTH5 are $20 each.
  If you don't order CTH5, the first program you order
  is $30. Additional programs are $20 each.
  Remember, Throughbred 5 contains the complete relational
  database manager. The other programs do not have database
  capabilities. We're working on them and will let you
  know if database versions are available when you order.
 PRICING
 Type "Y" or "N" beside the name
 of each program. Then hit ENTER.
 When you've finished with the
 last program, the Print Confirm-
 ation window will appear.
 HIT ENTER for PRICING Details
 This window gives you the chance
  to enter or change information
  about a race.
 If it's a new race, enter the
  track, the date, the distance
  and a description of the race.
  A pop-up list of tracks and
  distances will appear to help
  you. When you're through, the
  handicapping screen for the
  first horse will appear.
 For a race you've already
  set up a record for, you have
  two choices.
 Hit F2 to handicap the race.
 Hit F3 to see wagering results
  for the race.
 This is a list of the races you have entered. You must
  create a record for a race before you can handicap the
  horses in that race.
 To start a record for a new race, hit INS.
 To handicap a race (or change information about an
  existing race) highlight the race you want and hit ENTER.
 To delete a race, hit DEL. Careful here. Before deleting
  a race, you should delete all the handicapping entries
  for that race.
 To find a race quickly, you can enter the date in the
  "Lookup" field at the top of the form. The program
  will search for the race as you type in the characters.
 To return to the Main Menu, hit CTRL-ESC.
 This list shows you the wagering results for the race,
  horse, or dates you've requested.
 To View or Change any item, use the Cursor, PgUp or PgDn
  keys to highlight the result you want and hit ENTER.
 To PRINT this report, hit F10.
 Hit ESC to return to the previous screen.
  If the horse is a MALE
  or GELDING, type "M"
  If the horse is a FILLY
  or MARE, type "F"
 If the horse is running at
 this track for the FIRST
 time, type "Y". If the
 horse has run here before,
 type "N".
 This table shows you the list of horses you've handicapped for this race.
Use the cursor keys to move the highlight bar to the horse you want.
 To ADD another horse, hit INSERT. A new handicapping form will appear.
 To DELETE a horse, hit DELETE. The horse's form will be brought to the
screen. Hit ENTER to delete it, ESC to return to the list.
 To Modify a horse, highlight your choice and hit ENTER. The horse's form
will be brought to the screen for editing.
 Hit F9 to print out the handicapping analysis for the highlighted horse.
 Hit F10 to print the entire handicapping report for this race.
  Type the Horse's Speed
  Rating from its Last
  Race on a Fast or
  Sloppy Track
This is a list of your tracks.
 Use the cursor, PgUp and PgDn
 keys to highlight the track
 you want.
Hit INSERT to ADD a Track.
Hit DELETE to delete a track.
Hit ENTER to select a high-
 lighted track.
Hit ESC to return to
 the previous screen.
Your Track List
 This is a list of your tracks. When you start
 to handicap a race, this list will pop up to
 make sure you enter the track name properly.
 Use your Cursor Keys, PgUp and PgDn to move
 the highlight bar through the list.
 Hit INS to add a new track to the list.
 Hit DEL delete the highlighted track.
 Hit ENTER to bring the highlighted track's
form to the screen.
 Hit ESC to return to the previous screen.
  Type the Track Variant
  from the horse's last
  race on a Fast or
  Sloppy Track.
 If the Horse Won His
 Last Race on a Fast or
 Sloppy Track, type "Y".
 If the horse didn't win,
 type "N".
