  4. CompuShow is a graphics display program for CompuServe GIF (version "87a" and
  5. "89a"), RLE, MacPaint, PC Paint, PC Paintbrush, Dr. Halo, Ega Paint, ColoRix,
  6. Targa, Deluxe Paint and Windows Paint BMP graphics images. It supports
  7. Hercules, CGA, PCjr/Tandy-1000, EGA, "Super-EGA", MCGA, VGA, XGA, "Super-VGA",
  8. the IBM Professional Graphics Controller and 8514/A adapters. Super-VGA
  9. support includes VESA VBE, DGIS, Ahead Systems, ATI, Chips & Technologies,
  10. Everex, Paradise, Oak Technologies, AST, Compaq, Dell, Genoa, NCR, Orchid,
  11. STB, Tseng 3000 and 4000, Trident, Logix, ZyMOS, and Video7 adapters (and
  12. compatibles) and full color (Targa 16/24/32) graphics on XGA, STB Ergo or
  13. other Tseng Labs VGAs with Sierra DAC, or the Hercules Graphics Station card.
  14. CompuShow also provides 16 color graphics displays on a CGA, Hercules InColor
  15. and Tandy 1000SL/TL 640x200x16 color mode. Files are selected for display
  16. from an on-screen file directory, which may be sorted by name, extension, size
  17. or date, in ascending or descending sequence. You move around the file
  18. directory using cursor arrow keys or a microsoft-compatible mouse. You may log
  19. to a different disk drive, change sub-directories, copy, rename, and delete
  20. files. The program automatically selects the best display mode for any
  21. graphic, or you may display it in any mode available on your graphics adapter.
  22. Images larger than the screen may be panned vertically and horizontally. If
  23. EMS memory is available, you may pan images as large as 1280x1024x256. Colors
  24. may be adjusted on EGA, MCGA, and VGA systems, and the adjusted palette saved
  25. to disk.

  27. Program Limitations: The enhanced (registered) version of the program provides
  28. printing on monochrome and color dot matrix and laser printers and includes
  29. an automatic Slide Show, and a system configuration program.
