  7.         This book is divided into three main sections. The  first  gives
  8.         genealogical  data  about members of the family, the second sec-
  9.         tion provides family group sheets for  all  family  groups  that
  10.         include  at  least  one child, and the third section consists of
  11.         biographical sketches of each family  member  which  chronologi-
  12.         cally tell the story of the family.

  14.         Each  person  is  identified  by a unique number. This number is
  15.         used to distinguish between family members  that  may  have  the
  16.         same name.

  18.         The  vital statistics about each person appear in Sections 1 and
  19.         2. Included here will be the  dates  of  birth  and  death,  the
  20.         places  of  those events and the dates and places for marriages,
  21.         as  well  as  information  about  the  person's  spouse(s)   and
  22.         children.

  24.         The  family  trees, with up to four generations of ancestors and
  25.         descendants of each person, are  also  included  in  section  1.
  26.         These  trees could be combined to form a complete family geneal-
  27.         ogy that could (theoretically) extend forever!

  29.         The biographies are freeform in nature and  serve  to  establish
  30.         more  background  about the individual than could be provided by
  31.         pure statistics.

  33.         Located in the appendices in the back  is  information  that  is
  34.         useful for extending the family history.

  36.         ~UAppendix  A~u  summarizes  all of the names that appear in the
  37.         book along with their reference numbers.

  39.         ~UAppendix B~u lists information that should have been  included
  40.         but  is presently unknown. By researching further it may be pos-
  41.         sible to fill in the missing data and extend the genealogy  even
  42.         farther.

  44.         ~UAppendix  C~u  will provide a sorted list of miscellaneous in-
  45.         formation including causes of  death,  occupations,  and  church
  46.         affiliations.

  48.         ~UAppendix  D~u prints a family "time line" listing the dates of
  49.         birth, death and marriages for the entire family in  chronologi-
  50.         cal order.
