  1.                              Description of Lunker

  4. Lunker is a survival game that requires skill (and a bit of luck) to win.
  5. It is available as shareware.  This means that you are free to use it, copy
  6. it, and distribute it.  You cannot charge anything for LUNKER except nominal
  7. fees to cover copying and distribution.
  8.  
  9. Help is available online.  A brief synopsis -
  10.  
  11.      Framed for a crime, condemned to five years' hard-labor mining asteroids,
  12.      you've just crashed into a particularly dangerous one.  Lunker puts you
  13.      inside the asteroid with six simultaneous 3D displays of what is
  14.      happening around you.  Add to this an electronic map, an asteroid
  15.      projection screen, monsters that cannot see around corners, onboard
  16.      motion detectors, a sense of humor and a deadline that must be met.
  17.      Features include: carving new tunnels if you have enough fuel or can get
  18.      more; save/restore; online help; icing canisters to freeze the bad guys.
  19.      Even when you get good at it, it's fun to play because every asteroid is
  20.      different.

  39. Make the directory current
  40.       CD LUNKER
  41. Now run the program
  42.       LUNKER

  44.                       Instructions to Copy to Hard Drive
  45.                       ==================================
  46. Lunker will start more quickly from a hard drive.
  47.  
  48. To copy it from diskette to a hard drive follow these instructions (they
  49. assume your diskette drive = A and your hard drive = C).

  51.       <first get the DOS prompt>
  52.       C:
  53.       CD \
  54.       MKDIR LUNKER
  55.  
  56.       COPY  A:\LUNKER\*.*  C:\LUNKER\*.*

  58. Note: you must define the LUNKER directory off the root directory for the
  59. images to load.
