CONDO version [1] is user supported software. This means that you may copy
it freely and give the copies away to anyone you wish, at no cost. They are
in turn requested to send in a contribution if they decide to use it.
The user supported software concept (often referred to as shareware) is an
attempt to provide software at a low cost. The cost of offering a new
product by conventional means is staggering and discourages independent
authors and small companies from developing and promoting their ideas. User
supported software is an attempt to develop a new marketing channel, where
products can be introduced at low cost.
If user supported software works, then everyone will benefit. The user will
benefit by receiving quality products at low cost, and by being able to
examine the software thoroughly before purchasing it. The author benefits
by being able to enter the commercial software market without first needing
large sources of capital.
But it can only work with your support. If you obtain a user supported
program from a friend or colleague, and are using it, then it is obviously
worth something to you, and a contribution should be sent.

RETURNING REAL ESTATE TO THE BANK

EXPLANATION OF ODDS
A note on how odds are figured.
* odds are shown as being (x) to 10
example:
1 to 10 one time out of ten tries you would be successful
on the average.
9 to 10 nine times out of ten tries you would be successful
on the average.
Crime Victim
The actual odds will vary from the odds shown randomly from 0 to 2
points because:
1. the mugger may be exceptionally clumsy or his club could
be rotten.
2. the mugger could be new at mugging or an old pro etc
SHADY DEALS
The actual odds will vary from the odds shown randomly from 0 to 3
points because:
1. the police investigating may be exceptionally stupid or
smart
2. your alibies reliability could vary considerably, etc
HORSE RACES
The actual odds will vary from the odds shown randomly from 1 to 4
points because:
1. odds at a horse race are calculated by how may people bet
on each horse
2. some people bet on a horse because it has done well in
other races
3. others bet on a horse because they like the horses name, etc.
