  IMPORTANT:  This is a program that works best in a Memory Resident
  Mode because it will allow you to look up toll-free numbers while
  using another program and then going back to your original program
   QUICKLY AND EASILY WITH A HOTKEY.  In this case the <ALT> &
   <BACKSPACE> COMBINATION.

   NOTE: This is a TSR program (Terminate & Stay Resident in
   Memory).  The only problem we find with this kind of a program
   is that it might conflict with other TSR'S you might already be
   using such as Sidekick.  If you must use these other TSR's, you
   should upgrade to DOS 5.0 or the latest version of Norton
   Utilities either of which can help you manage your TSR's to run
   together.

   {If you have not already up-graded your DOS to version 5.0, you
   may want to call us to order it.  It's only $59.95.  It's a very
   worthwhile investment because with it, you can place your
   favorite programs in the program manager which then allows you
   to 'Hotkey' back and forth between them, increasing your
   productivity and the productivity of employees.  All programs
   are instantly available and each one leaves off exactly where
   you were so that when you return, you have not lost any time.
   We like DOS 5.0 very much and feel it is the most significant of
   all DOS upgrades since the beginning of DOS based operating
   systems.  It also works well with a mouse and therefore is our
   second choice for easy to use operating systems after Microsoft
   Windows 3.0.}

   The other thing that DOS 5.0 does for you is it gives you more
   accessible memory below the 640KB level by loading many TSR's
   and device drivers into High Memory automatically and works
   better than any other memory management program we know of.
   Since our program is a TSR, 'Terminate & Stay Resident' program,
   you will have fewer problems with our program and others once
   you upgrade.

   If after installing our program it locks you up, call us, and
   we'll trouble shoot it for you.  The only problem we've had is
   that many TSR's may be trying to load into the same address
   space in DOS.  Don't Panic!  We can solve this problem for you!

   should at least upgrade to DOS 5.0 because with it you have the
   same ease of use and speed, but you do not lose your investment
   in your favorite DOS based programs.


   ENOUGH FOR NOW ABOUT UPGRADING.

     TO INSTALL OUR 'ON-LINE TOLL FREE DIRECTORY':

   1.  Insert our diskette in your drive.
   2.  Log on to the drive.  {type 'A:'}
   3.  At the 'A>' type 'Install'.
   4.  This will install our program into a directory on your hard
       drive called, '800#s'.
   5.  It will also modify your 'Autoexec.bat' file so that our
       memory resident program, 'PopDbf' will run automatically from
       any subdirectory.
   6.  REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER.  This will activate the memory
       resident program, POPDBF.

   USING OUR 'ON-LINE DIRECTORY':

   AFTER YOU REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM, YOU'RE READY TO USE OUR PROGRAM!
        HIT <ALT><BACKSPACE>
   {THIS IS OUR HOTKEY COMBINATION AND IS THE ONLY WAY TO ACTIVATE
   OUR PROGRAM.}

   This installation allow you to run our program very quickly from
   within any other application, look up your Tollfree number and
   then return to your regular business.

   *** You can do all of the following FROM WITHIN ANY OTHER DOS
   PROGRAM!!! ***

   Now, all you have to do is use our 'HOTKEY' combination, the
   <ALT><BACKSPACE> the 'Alt' key and the 'Backspace' key hit in
   succession or in combination will bring up the memory resident
   search portion of our program.  Now, all you need to do is
   instruct it to look at our Database, '800#S.DBF'.  Just
   highlight it in the picklist.

   You'll notice that the searching of this database or any other
   you care to use is very fast.  This is because our program is
   memory resident.  It uses the fastest part of your computer, the
   RAM memory to make its searches and this is why it is so fast.

   TO SEARCH A COMPANY FOR TOLL FREE LISTING.
      HIT THE F7 KEY
   THEN - IN THE BOX - TYPE ANY PORTION OF THE COMPANY NAME OR
      CATEGORY OF PRODUCT AND HIT ENTER.
   THE PROGRAM WILL FIND EVERY
      RECORD WITH YOUR TYPING ANYWHERE IN THE RECORD.

   THE PROGRAM WILL PULL UP THE RECORD OF THE COMPANY YOU ARE
   LOOKING FOR IN SECONDS.  REMEMBER, HOWEVER, THIS IS ONLY A
   SAMPLE DATABASE, THE COMPANY YOU MAY BE LOOKING FOR IS PROBABLY
   NOT LISTED IN THIS FREE VERSION.  IN THE REGISTERED VERSION, YOU
   GET THE COMPLETE AT&T TOLLFREE DIRECTORY ON LINE IN THIS MANNER.


   IMPORTANT: The first time you load our memory resident program,
   it defaults to our subdirectory and file.  You can customize it
   for any other DBF files you may have USING 'POPCFG.EXE'.  See
   POPDBF.DOC for more.

   Now, you can dial the number and type any notes of your
   conversation in the NOTES FIELDS.  If you have to leave the
   program to do something else,

       HIT THE <ALT><BACKSPACE> KEY COMBO ONCE AGAIN.

   This will take you out of our program and put you back in the
   program you were in before you called it up.  Then, hitting the
   <ALT><BACKSPACE> KEY COMBO ONCE AGAIN, takes you right back to
   the record you were in last!!  Pretty neat, huh?

   Now, you're ready to search with the F7 key for any other company or
   product category that you want to find.

   {You will see a pick list of files.  Optionally, you can add your
   own files to this pick list. Refer to POPDBF.DOC.}

   Other Function keys are listed on the bottom for your convenience.

   EXAMPLE:

   TRY USING THE <ALT><F5> COMBINATION.  This allows you to view
   the underlying application screen.  Great for using two programs
   at once.

   Or try using the Paste function to copy a company's name and
   address or telephone number down into your word processor.  Want
   to find the Paste Function key?  Just hit <ALT><F1> for help!!

   It's a very user-friendly application!!

   The registered version will even dial the tollfree number for
   you if you are connected to a Modem.

   You can look up a Tollfree phone Number, by hitting the F7
   key for 'Search'.  Type in any key word in the box that pops up.
   <ALT><BACKSPACE>.  Then when you've made your phone call, go
   back to your underlying program with the <ALT><BACKSPACE> key
   once again.  NOTE: USING THE <ALT><BACKSPACE> HOTKEY WILL ALWAYS
   RETURN YOU TO THE SAME FILE AND RECORD.

   Or hit the <ESC> key to leave the Tollfree Directory.  Please
   Note: It is best to hit the <ALT><BACKSPACE> Hotkey combination
   because this method of leaving and entering our program BRINGS
   YOU RIGHT BACK TO THE LAST RECORD YOU WERE USING!!!

   {PLEASE NOTE: If you try to add information to any record, a
   message will pop up telling you that you are in READONLY mode.
   This means that you cannot add or change data to this record,
   unless you hit the <ALT><M> key combo.  This is a safety feature
   so that you don't lose or erase our data easily.  If you want
   you can boot the program to allow editing of these records.  See
   POPDBF.DOC or the help screen to find out how.}

   From here on in, you merely follow the onscreen instructions.
   Use the function keys shown at the bottom of your screen to
   locate our files or any other Dbase files you may already have
   on your disk.  This program will let you browse them much more
   quickly than by going into the Dbase managers themselves.  Now,
   you can use the F7 key for instance to search on any criteria,
   such as Company Name or product category that you are looking
   for.  The program will search the 'TollFree Database' and bring
   up records that meet your search criteria.

   Then just manually dial the 'Tollfree' number, or if you have
   the registered version and a modem, it will dial it for you
   automatically.
