  3.     COLOR MENU SETUP!  In order to select and receive Color Menus, you need 
  4.     to have your system set up properly beforehand.  YOU DO NOT NEED A 
  5.     COLOR/GRAPHICS CARD TO SELECT COLOR MENUS!  However, you MUST have 
  6.     created a text file in your boot directory on your boot disk called 
  7.     CONFIG.SYS.  This file MUST contain the line:

  9.     DEVICE=ANSI.SYS
  10.  
  11.     It may also have other commands as you require.  You can create this 
  12.     text file using any word processor that is capable of creating standard 
  13.     ASCII text (PC-Write, Edlin, Wordstar in Non-document mode, etc.)   In 
  14.     addition, the file ANSI.SYS (it came on your DOS disk) must be on the 
  15.     boot disk.  From there it is a simple matter of selecting Color Menus by 
  16.     pressing [Y]our Settings at the Main Menu and checking to see if they 
  17.     work.  If you see a lot of little arrows, brackets and numbers then 
  18.     something is wrong.  If you are using QMODEM you must also toggle 
  19.     Graphics ON with ALT G.  Qmodem allows you to change the default of the 
  20.     graphics toggle in the install program.
