  5. Use of CDROMBuffers:

  7.   If you are using CDFS version 2.13 or less, you should configure the
  8.   CDROM buffers on your machine to a minimum of 64k (on a 2Meg machine),
  9.   or 128k if you have more memory.

  13. Video playback on 2Meg machines:
  14.  
  15.   As the playback of video requires most of the resources on a 2Meg machine,
  16.   users will probably experience difficulties if there are other applications
  17.   also running on the machine when the video is played.

  21. Audio playback with 16-bit soundcards
  22.  
  23.   Some versions of the 16-bit soundcard drivers cause the application to
  24.   crash when any attempt is made to play audio.  Each time that the
  25.   application is started, you will be given the option of selecting 8-bit
  26.   or 16-bit sound.  If the application has previously crashed when using
  27.   the 16-bit drivers, you should select the '8-bit' option.

  29.   It is hoped that future releases of the soundcard drivers will cure this
  30.   problem.

  34. Use of the data cache:
  35.  
  36.   This CD-ROM application has a built in 'cache' feature which stores
  37.   previous data items in memory after they have been accessed, allowing
  38.   quick access to recently viewed pictures & text as the data may not
  39.   have to be reloaded from the CD-ROM.
  40.   
  41.   The size of the cache can be controlled from the application icon menu on
  42.   the iconbar (Menu=>Cache=>Size=>). There are three sizes: 'small', 'medium'
  43.   and 'large' - you can select any one regardless of the memory size of your
  44.   machine, although on a 2M machine, the 'medium' and 'large' models give
  45.   little advantage over the 'small' model.

  47.   If you wish to reclaim the memory used for the cache, you can use the same
  48.   menu to free any unused data (Menu=>Cache=>Free).  This is useful if you
  49.   want to run other applications.

  53. Users of Cumana SCSI Cards CA008 or CA006 with
  54. CDFS Driver 1.17 or earlier may experience some 
  55. difficulty running Acorn Replay movies from 
  56. CD-ROM.  This is due to a compatibility problem 
  57. with the latest versions of Replay.
