  1.         Installing AudioWorks
  2.         ---------------------
  3. AudioWorks is a general purpose sound editing program. It can take sound
  4. samples in a variety of formats and then manipulate these samples. The
  5. samples can then be played or stored back to disc, again in a variety of
  6. formats.
  7.  
  8. AudioWorks must be installed to your hard disc before it can be
  9. used. To do this, place the CD-ROM into your drive; click on the CD icon
  10. and double-click on !AWINSTALL and the window shown will open.
  11.  
  12. Drag the AudioWorks icon on the right hand side to wherever on your hard
  13. disc you want to install AudioWorks to. The pathname will appear, and
  14. the OK button will become active. If you change your mind then before
  15. you click on OK just drag the AudioWorks icon again to alter the
  16. destination.

  18. If you want to install the Samples and Envelopes at the same time then
  19. ensure that the 'Install Samples and Envelopes' icon is ticked. If you
  20. decide not to install these at this time but wish to do so subsequently,
  21. or if you have altered them and wish to re-install them then run
  22. !AWINSTALL again but this time select 'Install Samples and Envelopes'
  23. but ensure that 'Install AudioWorks' is not selected.

  26.         ------
  27. The manual for AudioWorks is supplied as an indexed HTML document in the
  28. directory AW_MANUAL. You can use this either direct from the CD or copy
  29. it to your hard disc by dragging the complete AW_MANUAL directory
  30. folder.

  32. Just double-click on the file INDEX/HTM to load the manual's index into
  33. your browser.
