Simon was a very popular electronic game in the early 1980s. It was a test of observation and memory you had to copy a sequence of colours and sounds by pressing the appropriate coloured panel. The game would add one to the sequence until you either conpleted the game or pressed the wrong panel.
The computer version:
This version is just about as close as you can get to the original. First run the program by using the desktop or by typing CHAIN"SIMON" and pressing the return key.
The screen will clear and four coloured panels will appear. In the centre their are 'buttons' labled 'start', 'last', 'longest' and 'level' use the mouse pointer and click on the RED start button.
One of the four outer panels will flash move the pointer quickly to that colour and click on it, the computer will then flash that panel again and add one more to the sequence you must now copy these two colours. This goes on until you either complete the game in which case you will sea a very fast flash on all the colours and the game will end. If howeaver you go wrong or are not fast enough their will be a loud 'CRACK' folowed by a flash on the corrcet colour.
The level button.
The level button is used to set the level of the game. Their are five levels the first only needs a string of six correct colours but to complete level 5 you must do a string of over 30!.
The Last & Longest buttons.
These play back the last and longest sequences, so that you can prove to your freinds that you have actually DONE IT!
One finel thing.
If you leave the game running every 60 seconds it will make a sound and flash all the colours, Just as a reminder.
