  7. Provides standalone and LAN-based workstations with X.25 communications to
  8. remote hosts and information services.  In addition, users can log in from
  9. X.25 networks to the UNIX workstation.  Standard interfaces are used such as
  10. cu, uucp, and getty.  Clients on LAN Manager IPX or TCP/IP LANs using DOS,
  11. OS/2, and Windows applications can use the OSI LAN Gateway as though each had
  12. a network connection.  The OSI protocols run in the EiconCard, thus freeing
  13. CPU cycles and significantly reducing memory requirements.  OSI Gateway makes
  14. use of the EiconCard, an intelligent communications adapter, which supports up
  15. to 254 simultaneous connections, and/or sessions.  One OSI Gateway can support
  16. up to four EiconCards.  OSI Gateway is also a platform for OSI packages and
  17. includes X.3/X.28/X.29 PAD emulation software as tty drivers.
