  5. NDP Pascal-860 incorporates Microway's advanced optimising technologies and
  6. code-generation techniques. The NDP-860 family of compilers also include a
  7. proprietary COFF-based tool set. The compiler includes an instruction
  8. scheduler. Code is re-organised to take full advantage of the i860 pipeline
  9. architecture. Programs are also automatically vectorised by the back-end of the
  10. compilers using the vectorised forms of instructions and the large on-chip
  11. data-cache. NDP PASCAL-860 implements the ANSI/IEEE standard 770X3.97-1983,
  12. which is a superset of Niklaus Wirth's Pascal. It includes extensions from
  13. Berkeley 4.2 BSD Pascal and the British Standards Institute (BSI). Level, a
  14. preprocessor, separates compilation of modules, and interfaces with the
  15. Microway C library.
