  5. The Microtec Research ASM68K is a relocatable Macro Assembler for the Motorola
  6. 680x0 family of microprocessors.  The Microtec Research implementation is
  7. completely upward-compatible with the assembly language as specified by
  8. Motorola, Inc.  ASM68K translates symbolic machine instructions into binary
  9. object code that can be executed by a 680x0 family microprocessor.  The ASM68K
  10. assembler translates symbolic machine instructions into binary object code for
  11. execution in 680x0 family microprocessor system.  Assembly language source
  12. files are translated into relocatable object modules which can be combined
  13. into libraries using LIB68K and/or linked using LNK68K to create absolute
  14. modules.  The resulting applications executables can be:  debugged with the
  15. Microtec Research XRAY Debugger; downloaded directly to an embedded
  16. environment; downloaded to an in-circuit emulator; placed into Programmable
  17. Read-Only Memory (PROM).  The ASM68K package features:  100% Motorola assembly
  18. language compatibility; cross target support for 68000/10/20/30/40/CPU32,
  19. 68881/68882 and 68851 instruction sets; support for scatter loading in
  20. arbitrary memory maps; unlimited symbols per module of up to 131 characters
  21. each; and linker support for incremental builds.
