  5. The low-cost Siren adapter card is designed to protect against computer theft,
  6. which amounts to many millions of pounds each year.   It consists of a very
  7. loud audible alarm, movement detector and electronics.  When installed into an
  8. IBM or compatible PC expansion slot, the alarm card is set up by running a
  9. software program.  When enabled, any significant movement of the card will set
  10. off an extremely loud audible alarm.  After activation, the card will sound for
  11. approximately ten minutes before resetting itself.  To minimise false alarms
  12. there is an option that enables movement detection only after the PC has been
  13. disconnected from the mains.
