  1. CronTab v0.91

  4. CronTab runs programs and macros at scheduled time,
  5. allowing backups, compression of files, defragmentation
  6. of disks and memory or any other batch at regular
  7. intervals (e.g. during the night).
  8.  
  9. When the machine is off, CronTab wakes it up, runs the
  10. batch and switches it off.
  11.  
  12. CronTab features also the possibiliy to run alarms
  13. that will stop after a specified number of sounds,
  14. saving the batteries when someone is not around
  15. to cancel it.

  18. Installation:
  19. -------------
  20. Install the packages CronTab.sis and Macro5Lib.sis
  21. as you do with all SIS files : double-click on them either
  22. on the PC (if PsiWin 2.1 is installed) or on the Series 5
  23. (if there is an Add/Remove icon in the configuration panel).
  24. If you don't already have it, install SysRam1.sis.

  27. Usage:
  28. ------
  29. The usage of ConTab is quite similar to the
  30. regular setting of alarms.
  31.  
  32. You can choose to execute a program or a macro,
  33. to sound an alarm or to backup and compress a folder.
  34.  
  35. The repeat method 'Set by macro' is meant to be used
  36. with macros only. In this case the macro sets itself
  37. the next execution by putting in the variable NextTime&
  38. the time (in seconds from 01/01/1970) of the next wake up.
  39. If NextTim&=0, the job is disable. You can use this option
  40. to make the scheduling of jobs dependent of external
  41. factors or to set up unregular intervals (e.g. every hours
  42. from 8h00 to 18h00).
