  7. This is the Shareware version of the program SourcePrinter.  For ordering
  8. information, see the file ORDER.TXT.

  10. What is SourcePrinter?
  11.  
  12. SourcePrinter is a utility for printing Visual Basic code in a more usable,
  13. professional looking format.  SourcePrinter's features include:
  14.  
  15.   - Prints VB code with headers, footers, margins, and page numbers
  16.  
  17.   - Prints procedure headings in bold, comments in italics
  18.  
  19.   - Line continuation (for lines of code that exceed the page width)  
  20.  
  21.   - Prints all or user-selected files from a project (.mak file)
  22.  
  23.   - Prints all or user-selected procedures from each file
  24.  
  25.   - Prints an index of all procedures in each file
  26.  
  27.   - Can print selected text from within Visual Basic by copying to the 
  28.     clipboard
  29.  
  30.   - User-selectable fonts for headers, footers, & code (registered version)

  32. Version 1.10:

  34. SourcePrinter version 1.10 fixes some bugs which were reported to me
  35. (thank you to those who provided me with some very helpful feedback!).
  36. Additionally, it corrects a somewhat major bug that caused significant
  37. margin inaccuracies on some laser printers.  If you used SourcePrinter 1.0
  38. and had problems such as page numbers spilling over onto the next page, or
  39. data being lost off the right side of the page, give 1.1 a try!  Those
  40. problems SHOULD be eliminated, let me know how it's working.

  42. Also, you now have the option of telling SourcePrinter to start each Sub or
  43. Function at the top of a new page (Page-Breaks Between Subs option).

  46. Requirements:
  47.  
  48. SourcePrinter requires Microsoft Windows 3.1 to run.  In addition, it 
  49. requires the following files:
  50.  
  51.   - VBRUN300.DLL
  52.   - CMDIALOG.VBX
  53.   - COMMDLG.DLL
  54.  
  55. Because SourcePrinter was written for use with Visual Basic for Windows,
  56. VBRUN300.DLL is not included, as it comes with VB 3.0.  If you do need 
  57. this file, however, it should be available from wherever you downloaded
  58. SourcePrinter.

  60. Installation:
  61.  
  62. If you do not already have recent versions of any of the three files listed
  63. above, copy the files you need into your \windows\system subdirectory.
  64.  
  65. Copy the file THREED.VBX to your \windows\system subdirectory.
  66.  
  67. Copy SRCPRINT.EXE, SRCPRINT.HLP, and all accompanying TXT files to 
  68. whichever subdirectory you like, as long as they are all in the same
  69. subdirectory.  Add the program to Program Manager using File-New-Program
  70. Item.  Double-click the icon and you're ready to go.

  72. The program should be fairly self explanatory.  See the on-line help to 
  73. answer any questions that you may have.

  75. Before using this software, you should read and understand the License
  76. Agreement and Disclaimer of Warranty in the file LICENSE.TXT.  By using
  77. this software, you agree to the terms stated in that file.

  79. Important:

  81. For SourcePrinter to work, your VB forms and modules must be saved in
  82. text format.  Of course, most VB programmers recommend that you always
  83. "save as text" anyways.  See the on-line help topic "Saving as Text"
  84. for further elaboration.

  86. Notes:

  88. Any comments, criticisms, suggestions, or bug-reports, will be greatly
  89. appreciated.  Specifically:
  90.  
  91.   - I do not know how SourcePrinter will handle files from VB 1.0, VB 2.0,
  92.     or VB for DOS (running in Windows).
  93.  
  94.   - I do not know how accurate the margins will be on different printers.
  95.  
  96.   - Are there any portions of this program that you consider to be painfully
  97.     slow?

  99.   - Are there other features or options that should be included?

  105. Enjoy trying SourcePrinter!  As a Visual Basic programmer, I find it to be
  106. a rather useful utility, and I hope you will as well.  Remember that if you
  107. wish to continue using it after the 30-day trial period, you must register
  108. the program (see ORDER.TXT).  This will provide you with the most recent 
  109. version of the program, a hard-copy of the documentation, and the knowledge
  110. that you're helping support the ideal of shareware and affordable software.
