  6. This diskette contains a TEST DRIVE of the JET Inspector Version 2.0
  7. application from Blue Lagoon Software.  This application is designed to
  8. assist developers in performance-tuning and analyzing Microsoft Visual
  9. Basic and/or Access database-access applications.
  10.  
  11. Applications written using Visual Basic and/or Access communicate with
  12. a set of dynamic link libraries (DLLs) known as the Microsoft JET
  13. Database Engine.  Although development environments such as Visual Basic
  14. and Access allow the programmer to code to a higher level API,
  15. these APIs use the JET Engine to perform the lower-level data access
  16. operations.  The purpose of this utility is to trace JET operations and
  17. provide feedback to you the programmer so you can optimize your
  18. applications and track down errors.

  20. Included in this ZIP archive are the files needed to install and execute
  21. the TEST DRIVE of JET Inspector, and this readme file.
