  11. in this document is more current than that in the online Help.

  14. How to Use This Document
  15. ------------------------
  16. To view README.TXT on screen in Windows Notepad, maximize the Notepad 
  17. window.

  19. To print README.TXT, open it in Windows Write, Microsoft Word, or another
  20. word processor.  Then select the entire document and format the text in
  21. 10-point Courier before printing.

  85. Your use of VBWizard indicates your acceptance of the following
  86. terms and conditions:

  88. VBWizard ("the Software") is a Visual Basic custom add-on
  89. licensed by Pocket Change Software ("PKS").
  90.  
  91. Shareware license.
  92. You are free to distribute the entire unmodified contents of the distribution
  93. package to anyone you wish. You may NOT distribute any other programs that
  94. utilizes the Software without obtaining a Registered User License for the
  95. Software from PKS. For a period of no more than 21 days, you may use, test
  96. and duplicate the enclosed version of the Software.  Thereafter if you wish
  97. to continue using the Software you must register the Software with PKS, or
  98. else you must cease all use of the Software.  You will be an infringer if
  99. you do not pay the registration fee and continue to use this version of the
  100. Software for more than 21 days.

  102. Registered User License.
  103. If you pay the registration fee for the Software to PKS, PKS will grant a
  104. non-exclusive license for one natural person to use one copy of the software
  105. regardless if the owner of the license is a person or a business
  106. ("the Licensee"). No purported transfer of the license shall be effective 
  107. until the licensee notifies PKS of the name and address of the person 
  108. receiving the license ("the Transferee"), and transfers all copies of the 
  109. Software to the Transferee, and removes or destroys any other copies of the Software in the 
  110. possession of, or under the control of the Licensee.

  112. Limited Warranty.
  113. The Software is distributed and licensed under an "as is" basis. For a period
  114. of 90 days from the date that you pay the registration fee, you may return
  115. all materials provided by PKS, destroy any copies you have made and then you
  116. will receive a refund of your registration fee minus a $5 restocking charge,
  117. provided that the returned materials are undamaged.  If the materials are
  118. damaged your refund will be deducted for the replacement costs of the damaged
  119. materials.

  121. Disclaimer of Warranties.
  122. PKS makes no claims as to the suitability of the software for any specific
  123. purpose. EXCEPT FOR THE LIMITED WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, PKS DISCLAIMS ANY AND
  124. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WRITTEN OR ORAL, INCLUDING ANY
  125. WARRANTIES OF MERCHANT ABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY SPECIFIC PURPOSE. The
  126. Limited Warranty stated above gives you specific legal rights, but you may
  127. have other rights which may vary from state to state.

  129. Limitation of Liability.
  130. In no event shall PKS be liable for any damages whatsoever arising out of
  131. the use of the Software, including without limitation any direct, indirect
  132. or consequential damages or any damages for business interruption, loss of
  133. profits, loss of information, or any pecuniary  loss even if PKS has been
  134. notified of the possibility of such damages. The limitation or exclusion
  135. of liability for incidental or consequential damages may not be allowed in
  136. some states, and in these states those particular prohibited limitations do
  137. not apply.

  139. Limitation of Remedies.
  140. Should you have problems with the Software, PKS's entire liability and your
  141. exclusive remedy shall be, at PKS's discretion, either (a) to repair or
  142. replace the Software, or (b) to terminate the License and send you a refund
  143. of your registration fee minus a restocking charge, provided that all
  144. materials are returned undamaged. If the materials are damaged your refund
  145. will be deducted for the replacement costs of the damaged materials.

  150. The Software is protected by the copyright laws of the United States, and
  151. by the copyright laws of many other countries pursuant to international
  152. treaties. The VBX and all other materials provided in the Tree Control
  153. distribution package are Copyright (c)1993 Pocket Change Software.  All Rights reserved.
  154. No portion of the Software, documentation or examples may be copied, stored,
  155. or transmitted except as provided by the license.
