  16. A service protocol is the language spoken between a
  17. server and a workstation.  For example, NetWare servers
  18. and NetWare workstation shells and requesters speak a
  19. service protocol called the NetWare Core Protocol (NCP). 
  20. The functions that comprise the NetWare Core Protocol are
  21. also called the NCPs. 
  22. Although the first release of NetWare 386 supports one
  23. service protocol language, the NetWare Core Protocol,
  24. future versions will support other service protocols such
  25. as the one provided by Apple.  NetWare 386 supports most
  26. NetWare v2.15 NCPs and the new NCPs listed in the
  27. following table:
