  6. NEWER FILE CAN BE FOUND IN LIBRARY 16 (Novell, New Uploads).  UPLOADS ARE

  15.  SEC386.ZIP -  A very rare security shortcoming has been identified by 
  16.                Novell.  It has been fixed with these patches.  For most 
  17.                Novell customers who have intruder detection set on, this 
  18.                security weakness will not pose a problem.  Novell recommends
  19.                that all customers turn intruder detection on.  If the 
  20.                customer has greater concerns for security, this corrective 
  21.                patch should be applied.

  23.                SEC286.ZIP should only be applied to released copies of 
  24.                NetWare 286 v2.15 rev C; any previous or subsequent versions 
  25.                of 286-based NetWare do not have this problem and should not
  26.                have this program fix applied to them.

  28.                SEC386.ZIP should only be applied to released copies of 
  29.            NetWare 386 v3.10 rev A.

  35.  TB277.TXT   - Technical Bulletin 277.  Several patches have been released 
  36.                for NetWare 386 v3.10 rev A.  Patches for this version fall 
  37.                under three classifications: dynamic, semi-static, and static.
  38.                Dynamic patches are .NLM files that can be loaded and unloaded 
  39.                while the server is running.  Semi-static patches can also be
  40.                loaded while the server is running, but they cannot be 
  41.                unloaded. Static patches are DOS executable programs that make
  42.                changes to the SERVER.EXE file.  
  43.  
  44.  TB278.TXT   - Technical Bulletin 278.  Patches to NetWare 386 v3.10 rev. A 
  45.                that are considered to be essential are: CACHEFIX, FIXOPEN, 
  46.                PASSFIX, and WDOGFIX. Each of these patches should be loaded 
  47.                at every installation of NetWare 386 v3.10 rev. A.

  49.  TB279.TXT   - Technical Bulletin 279.  Patches to NetWare 386 v3.10 rev. A 
  50.                which are considered to be special cases are: DELDIRFIX, 
  51.                DELFIX, and DTTMFIX. Each of these patches correct a 
  52.                particular problem or error in v3.10a.

  54.  TB280.TXT   - Technical Bulletin 280.  NetWare users who are upgrading to 
  55.                386 v3.10 may need to upgrade their Novell Disk Coprocessor 
  56.                Boards (DCB).  NetWare 386 v3.10 was written to support the 
  57.                latest in hardware technology. This includes DCBs with 
  58.                revision E or higher of the DCB firmware.  DCBs with firmware
  59.                revision D or earlier will not work with NetWare 386 v3.10.

  61.  TB281.TXT   - Technical Bulletin 281.  Several patches and enhancements have
  62.                been released for NetWare 286 v2.15 rev. C.  These patches and
  63.                enhancements address invalid VIT errors, large drive support,
  64.                mirroring with optical drives, security, SPX connections, and
  65.                VAP and volume errors.

  83.               characters on the screen and messages saying there are no
  84.               available options for NET$OS.EXE or IPX.COM files.  Problems in
  85.               reconfiguring multiple drivers was also addressed.

  88.  RPL.ZIP    - A newer version of the RPL.VP1 VAP v1.01 correctly supports
  89.               Ethernet and Token-Ring Remote Program Load.

  95.  PRFRM3.ZIP - PERFORM3 is a utility that will measure performance of any
  96.               number of workstations for record sizes of 1 to 65535.  The
  97.               output is placed in a text file and a graphics file.

  99.  VRPPS2.ZIP - VREPAIR.ESD for PS/2 ESDI drives and VREPAIR.MFM for PS/2
  100.               MFM drives were generated to compensate for a problem when
  101.               running VREPAIR from ELS NetWare Level I v2.12 on PS/2 ESDI and
  102.               MFM drives.  Both the IBM PS/2 ESDI disk controller V2.02
  103.               (890830) driver and IBM PS/2 MFM disk controller V2.10 (881024)
  104.               driver were configured for Option 0.

  120.               Server Adapter/A.

  122.  55SX60.ZIP - PS2ESDI.DSK v3.11 is an ESDI disk driver which supports the 
  123.               Seagate 60 Mb drive (ST177i  EC 835304) shipped with the PS/2 
  124.               Model 55SX.  This version of PS2ESDI.DSK is a patched version 
  125.               and should only be used if problems are experienced with the 
  126.               ST177i.  v3.11 has been unit-tested but is not IMSP-certified.

  128.  VRP310.ZIP - This version of VREPAIR corrects problems with FAT chain 
  129.               overlap, unrecoverable read errors, VREPAIR changes not written
  130.               to disk, and problems when both Primary and Secondary mirrored
  131.               FATs contain an invalid link value. This version will also 
  132.               correct some problems experienced when using the ERASEFIX patch
  133.               previously distributed on NetWire.

  135.  TTSFIX.ZIP - TTSFIX is a dynamic patch which is loaded at the file server 
  136.               console as a NetWare Loadable Module.  This patch fixes a 
  137.               problem in NetWare 386 V3.10a that would cause the server to 
  138.               ABEND with the following message: "Abend: TTSAbortTransaction 
  139.               detected a bad TTS file."  It is highly advisable to run the 
  140.               CACHEFIX patch in conjunction with TTSFIX.

  147.  TB282.TXT -  Technical Bulletin 282.  In IBM Model 95 and some Model 80 A21
  148.               and A31 machines, an NE/2-32 can lose its on-board POS 
  149.               configuration information, causing the adapter to stop 
  150.               functioning.  The problem is caused by noise from the adapter 
  151.               and from the machine.  This problem has been corrected.

  184.               problems with the Seagate 60 MB drive shipped with the PS/2

  194.               and ELS NetWare.  Files for ELS II is now available on NetWire.

  198.  TB286.TXT  - Technical Bulletin 286.  The utility ESDIDISK was developed to
  199.               prepare ESDI hard disks for NetWare file servers.  Running 
  200.               ESDIDISK and the manufacturer's format utility for ESDI hard
  201.               drives substitutes for COMPSURF.

  208.  DUPDFX.ZIP  -  DUPDSKFX is a dynamic patch which is loaded at the file server
  209.         console as a NetWare Loadable Module.  This patch fixes a 
  210.         problem in NetWare 386 V3.10a when using the Core driver 
  211.         certified for 3.0 resulting in the message:"Abend:Invalid 
  212.         System ID passed to NPUTIOCTL".  DUPDSKFX.NLM also solves
  213.         problems with systems hanging and then upon rebooting the 
  214.         system, the error:"Fat Chain Overlaps Onto Itself" was 
  215.         reported.This patch is also recommended by Storage Dimensions
  216.         when mirroring or duplexing on their systems.

  231.  READFX.ZIP  -  READFX.ZIP is a patch for 386 v3.10a that fixes a problem with 
  232.         some application the report an invalid error message when 
  233.         executing a read operation.

  235.  PATMAN.ZIP  -  PATCHMAN.NLM (v1.02b) is the patch manager for 386 fixes. All
  236.         patches created after 2/1/91 will require this version of
  237.         patchman.  Fixes prior to 2/1/91 are also compatible with 
  238.         v1.02b of patchman.

  241.  VRP310.ZIP  -  VREPAIR.NLM  updated the readme file to include a warning 
  242.         that when using this version of VREPAIR is used in conjuction
  243.         with PS2SCSI.DSK you may lose data.
