- SUBJECT : Duplexing With IBM Disk Controllers
- DATE : 6/13/90
- OS VERSION : 286 and 386
- REVISION :
- SHELL VERSION : All
-
- GENERAL INFORMATION : According to Engineering you can not currently mix and
- match different types of controllers in a PS/2 fileserver. Such as put a MFM
- and an ESDI controller in the same machine and expect to duplex. Also you
- cannot duplex MFM with MFM or ESDI with ESDI. This is true with both 286 and
- 386 NetWare. The reason is that they will not share interrupts.
-
- However the IBM SCSI controller has the capability to be duplexed with another
- IBM SCSI controller.
