- 3-121 Loss of Workstation EGA or VGA Graphics Display
-
- APPLIES TO: NetWare 3270 Workstation
-
- SUPERSEDES: 3-101
-
- DATE: September 17, 1990
-
- PROBLEM
- DOS applications using EGA or VGA graphics do not have screens restored after returning from a
- host session.
-
- DISCUSSION
- Novell's 3270 emulation software does not currently save and restore EGA or VGA graphic screens.
- The NetWare 3270 emulation customization option to save up to 4 "screen pages" of 4K each is only
- for text and CGA graphics.
-
- WORK AROUND
- Most applications have a way to work around this problem.
-
- For instance, with one version of Lotus 123, it is possible to restore the screen by using the following
- procedure: At the blank Lotus screen key the slash character. A menu displays. From this menu the
- select worksheet window display option 2. This returns the Lotus display screen to normal.
-
- Lotus 123 Version 3 employs graphics mode rather than text mode, and requires more screen buffer
- memory to store the graphic data than is available via the NetWare 3270 emulation software.
