The following is a list of hard drives that work with AT&T PC 6300 that use the 1.43 ROM with the mother board switch set to read internal HD support. Since AT&T does not appear to know the difference between the various drive type settings for the drives with the same parameters (i.e. heads and cylinders) and I have been unable to find any problems, my guess is that there is no difference. For example, drive types 01, 02, 04, 06 and 07 are all listed as 4 heads and 612 cylinders. Although the AT&T technical documentation lists specific manufacturers' drive models for each of these types, there seem to be no real differences.
