  4.         Menuing...
  5.  
  6. HAMBONE uses "pull-down"  menuing that can be accessed by your 
  7. mouse  or the arrow keys.  Simply move the high-lighted bar to 
  8. the menu item you wish to select and press ENTER or your  LEFT 
  9. mouse button. 
  10.  
  11.         Press the ESCape key to de-select a menu item.
  12.  
  13. We  do  not know of any MOUSE drivers that will not work  with 
  14. HAMBONE.   Be  sure  to have your MOUSE.COM or  other  driving 
  15. software loaded before you use HAMBONE. It makes navigating so 
  16. much easier than using the arrow keys.

  18.         Scrolling...

  20. You  may also use your MOUSE to scroll through the TEXT  files 
  21. by pressing the RIGHT and LEFT mouse buttons.  You may use the 
  22. arrow keys, PgUp and PgDn keys if you do not have a mouse.

  24.         Setting Up...
  25.  
  26. Be  sure  to  select  "FILES"  and  then  select  "SETUP"   to 
  27. personalize HAMBONE.  If you wish to turn the sound OFF,  then 
  28. use the SETUP feature. Keep all of the files in HAMBONE.ZIP on 
  29. a single disk or in a common directory.  While a fixed disk is 
  30. preferrable for speed, a floppy disk is quite adequate.  There 
  31. is nothing special you must do in order to use HAMBONE.  It is 
  32. a straight-forward and simple program to use.

  34.         Morse Code Feature...
  35.  
  36. You  can  use the RANDOM code generator to work on  your  code 
  37. studies. Also, any normal DOS text file can be used.  Perhaps, 
  38. you  would  like to create a special text file for  practicing 
  39. the  code.  Be sure to include the FULL path to the text file. 
  40. (i.e., C:\HAMBONE\PRACTICE.TXT)

  42.         Creating your own data...

  44. The  test questions as well as the HAMBONE  textbook  chapters 
  45. can  be altered with any DOS text editor.  When  altering  the 
  46. test questions,  just be sure to follow the same encoding that 
  47. is described at the top of each file.

  71. Ham radio is a wonderful hobby and avocation.  The author just 
  72. wants to make your studies easier.  While HAMBONE can't do  it 
  73. all, there may be enough features to "spark" your interest and 
  74. perhaps, lay the groundwork for a study plan.

  78. the  sysop if they would mind replacing it with HAMBONE.   You
