-
- Try 11,176 kHz. There has been a large amount of MAC (Military Airlift
- Command) traffic working Ascension Island, Phantom (European Theatre Control),
- Croughton AFB, etc.
-
- The British Forces Broadcasting System can be heard very clearly at 1330 UTC
- (9:30 am EDT) broadcasting music, announcements and dedications/personal
- messages to the troops stationed in the Persian Gulf region. The frequency for
- that broadcast is 21,735 kHz.
-
- Although the shipping interdiction effort is probably using VHF marine
- frequencies, there has been some 'warning to shipping' CW traffic on 8090 kHz.
- The other HF maritime frequencies may yield some interesting traffic, as well.
-
- Late word has it that the BBC frequency was changed to 21500. Check all possibilities.
