  1.  INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING IBM ENHANCED GRAPHICS ADAPTER DRIVERS
  2.  
  3. Before you can use the install program, you must run the E.BAT file.
  4. This will rename the files so that the install program will operate
  5. properly. 
  6.  
  7. Put your disk with the downloaded files into drive A.  Be certain that
  8. you have an A prompt. At the A prompt, type E and hit the RETURN key.
  9. When the batch file is complete, you may proceed with the following
  10. instructions.

  14. What you will need 
  15.  
  16. You must have a Disk which contains the following files: 
  17.  
  18.        EGA.BAT 
  19.        IBM0EGA.DRV 
  20.        IBM1EGA.DRV

  22. How to use 
  23.  
  24. To install the EGA drivers, perform the following steps: 
  25.  
  26. Two-Diskette System 
  27.  
  28. 1. Start your computer with DOS. 
  29. 2. Put the Disk that contains the above files in drive A, and the 1-2-3
  30.    Utility Disk in drive B. 
  31. 3. At a DOS A prompt, type COPY *.* B: and press RETURN. 
  32. 4. Remove the Disk from drive A, and replace it with the
  33.    1-2-3 Utility Disk. 
  34. 5. At a DOS A prompt, type EGA B: and press RETURN.  Follow the screen
  35.    prompts. 
  36. 6. At a DOS A prompt, start 1-2-3 as usual and enjoy your new colors
  37.    with the IBM Enhanced Graphics Adapter.

  40. Hard-Disk System 
  41.  
  42. 1. Start your computer with DOS. 
  43. 2. Put the Disk that contains the above files in drive A, and make drive
  44.    A the current directory, type A: and press RETURN. 
  45. 3. Type COPY *.* pathname and press RETURN.
  46.  
  47.    For pathname, use the name of your hard disk and your 1-2-3
  48.    directory.  For example, if you have a hard disk called drive C, and
  49.    your 1-2-3 files are in a directory called LOTUS, type COPY *.*
  50.    C:\LOTUS. 
  51. 4. Change the current drive to the drive that contains your 1-2-3
  52.    directory, ie C: and RETURN.  Change to your 1-2-3 directory.  For
  53.    example CD\LOTUS if your directory is LOTUS. 
  54. 5. At a DOS prompt within the directory of your 1-2-3 files, type EGA.
  55.    Follow the screen prompts. 
  56. 6. At a DOS prompt, start 1-2-3 as usual and enjoy your new colors with
  57.    the IBM Enhanced Graphics Adapter.
