  12.         Before  installing the GEM driver, you should have the  following
  13.         disks :
  14.  
  15.                 o  GEM program disks
  16.                 o  Blank formatted disks
  17.                 o  DOS Disk
  18.                 o  Disks #1 and #3
  19.  
  20.         This disk contains all the files required for setting up  Digital
  21.         Research's  GEM (2.1/2.2 or 3.0/3.1/3.13) in the 800x600  or  the
  22.         1024x768 mode. The files are:
  23.  
  24.                 o  GEM2-54B.DRV - 800 x 600 / 16 colors - Device Driver
  25.                                   for GEM 2.1 & 2.2.
  26.                 o  GEM3-54B.DRV - 800 x 600 / 16 colors - Device Driver
  27.                                   for GEM 3.0, 3.1 & 3.13.
  28.                 o  GEM3-65B.DRV - 1024 x 768 / 16 colors - Device  Driver
  29.                                   for GEM 3.0, 3.1 & 3.13. This driver is
  30.                                   also used for Ventura 2.0.
  31.                                 - requires 512k of video memory
  32.                 o  GEMDRV.EXE   - Drivers installation program.  This
  33.                                   program is started by the main program
  34.                                   VDRIVER.EXE.
  35.                 o  README.GEM   - This file.
  36.  
  37.         Note:   The Ventura driver, VP2-67B.DRV, is used as the  1024x768
  38.                 2-color device driver for GEM 3.0, 3.1 & 3.13.

  40.         The setup procedure is as follows:
  41.  
  42.                 1/  Backup the GEM program disks.  (Use the backup  disks
  43.                     in the following procedures.)
  44.  
  45.                 2/  Run the VDRIVER program on Disk #1 and follow the
  46.                     instructions given by the program.
