  12.         This  directory  contains  drivers for use  on  VersaCAD  version
  13.         5.3/5.4  and  VersaCAD  386 version  5.4.  The  directory  should
  14.         contain the following:

  16.                  o VCAD54B.COM   - This driver supports 2 modes
  17.                                    * 800x600 16-color
  18.                                    * 1024x768 16-color - requires
  19.                                      512K of video memory (This
  20.                                      mode is only for V4 board & up)
  21.                  o VCAD61B.EXE   - This driver supports 3 modes
  22.                                    * 640x400 256-color
  23.                                    * 640x480 256-color - requires
  24.                                      512K of video memory
  25.                                    * 800x600 256-color  - requires
  26.                                      512K of video memory
  27.                  o VCAD65B.COM   - 1024x768 16-color driver - requires
  28.                                    512K of video memory (This mode is
  29.                                    for V3 board)
  30.                  o VCAD67B.COM   - 1024x768 4-color driver
  31.                  o V386-61B.EXE  - This driver for VersaCAD 386 only.
  32.                                    The driver supports 3 modes
  33.                                    * 640x400 256-color
  34.                                    * 640x480 256-color - requires
  35.                                      512K of video memory
  36.                                    * 800x600 256-color  - requires
  37.                                      512K of video memory

  39.                 o FNT8X14.FNT    - Font files for VCAD61B.EXE and
  40.                   FNT8X8.FNT       V386-61B.EXE drivers.

  42.                 o VCADDRV.EXE    - Drivers installation program.  This

  44.                                    VDRIVER.EXE.

  61.         The setup procedure is as follows:
  62.  
  63.                 1/ Install VersaCAD on your hard disk, with EGA  selected
  64.                    for Screen Configuration.
  65.  
  66.                 2/ Run VDRIVER.EXE and follow the instructions given by
  67.                    the program.
  68.  
  69.                 3/ You will be told to do initial setup for VersaCAD in
  70.                    order  to  incorporate the  high  resolution  drivers.
  71.                    Simply follow as instructed.

  73.         Note:    If  you  cannot  successfully  completed  the   VersaCAD
  74.         installation  through VDRIVER because of an error  during  ENVIRO
  75.         configuration,   it  is  possible  that  the  system  memory   is
  76.         insufficient.  Try the following steps:
  77.  
  78.                 a.  Go to the root directory that contains VersaCAD
  79.                 b.  Type AVCAD.
  80.                 c.  Select (E) Environment.
  81.                 d.  Choose the desired graphic display e.g:
  82.                       Mode 54h, 800 x 600, 15 colors, single
  83.  
  84.         If  you  still  cannot  run the  environment  setup,  remove  any
  85.         resident program and run VDRIVER again.

  88.         For a printout of this information, type
