  7. Due to the large number of requests for the LIM EMS 4.0
  8. benchmarks, the files listed above are being distributed
  9. with the understanding that these tests were originally
  10. intended for internal use at PC Labs.  As such, the messages
  11. output by these programs were intended for PC Labs technical
  12. personnel who are knowledgeable in the area of LIM EMS and
  13. who have access to the test source code.  The messages are
  14. not designed for end-user testing, and do not necessarily
  15. reflect a failing on the part of the vendor software or
  16. hardware being tested.

  18. For example, the following error message may appear when
  19. running the EMSTEST program with 386^MAX, a software product
  20. from Qualitas Inc.:

  22.      Error: 2501  Testing Function 25, Subfunction 01.
  23.  
  24. This message in fact is caused by the small internal buffer
  25. used in the EMSTEST program, and is not at all due to
  26. 386^MAX.  (To correct this condition when using 386^MAX,
  27. include the option EXCLUDE=1000-3000.)
