  7. WHAT IS NICO'S COMMANDER
  8.  
  9. Nico's Commander is a Norton Commander like file manager with exciting
  10. features:
  11. - ten application buttons you can configure to start your favorite 
  12.   application with one mouse click, and feed the application a file 
  13.   you selected
  14. - show the current date and time in the title bar of the active window
  15. - built-in zip and unzip function with long file name support
  16. - try out facility for ZIP files
  17. - reach icons on your desktop with one mouse click, even if your
  18.   desktop is cluttered with windows
  19. - file search (with jokers) and search for strings inside files
  20. - directory compare
  21. - file compare
  22. - Explorer-like context menus
  23. - built-in editor without Notepads limitations
  24. - use FTP sites as local disks
  25. - print ASCII files one page on a sheet (portrait) or two pages on a 
  26.   sheet (landscape)
  27. - command prompt with command history
  28. - minimize by right clicking on empty space in Nico's Commander's main
  29.   window
  30. - ExitWin button to exit and restart Windows or to shut down or reboot

  36. INSTALLATION/DEINSTALLATION

  38. Run SETUP.EXE to install. Uninstall via Start - Settings - 
  39. Configuration - Software, or double click the icon Uninstall Nico's
  40. Commander.

  46. - fixed bug which caused FTP errors when connected to UNIX host

  77.   Windows 95 (OSR2) make it possible to correct this. Nico's Commander now makes use of this.

  133. - tooltip for desktop menu icon in system tray showed "Bureablad menu".
  134.   Changed that to "Desktop menu".

  139. Nico's Commander is not freeware. If you want to use it after the
  140. 30 day evaluation period you must register for US$ 20.
