  164.     UNREGISTERED-DEMO and REGISTERED copies of software products from
  165.     StepWare Inc. .

  168.        - "Program" means the StepWare Inc. software products(s) you have
  169.          purchased or obtained for evaluation, including both the
  170.          software and the associated documentation and other materials;
  171.        - "UNREGISTERED-DEMO Copy" means a copy of the Program distributed
  172.          by us or by our authorized agents for evaluation purposes and
  173.          which is described as an UNREGISTERED-DEMO copy in the Program's
  174.          sign-on messages;
  175.        - "REGISTERED Copy" means a copy of the Program purchased from us
  176.          or from a dealer, and which is not described as an
  177.          UNREGISTERED-DEMO copy in the Program's sign-on messages;
  178.        - "we" or "us" means StepWare Inc., a corporation based in
  179.          Boulder, Colorado, USA; and
  180.        - "you" means the end user of the Program.

  182. (2) Legal Agreement.  This is a legal agreement which allows you, the
  183.     end user, to use the Program under certain terms and conditions.  If
  184.     you cannot agree to abide by what this agreement says you should not
  185.     use or evaluate the Program.

  188.     law and international treaty provisions.

  201. (6) Use of the Program.  While you are evaluating the Program, you may
  202.     use it on as many computers as are required to perform your
  203.     evaluation. Your 30-day evaluation period begins when you first
  204.     install the Program on one or more computers for evaluation purposes.
  205.     Once the evaluation period is over and you purchase the program, your
  206.     use is subject to the following restrictions:

  208.     (A) You agree not to install or use any individual copy of the
  209.         Program on more than one computer at a time. However, you may
  210.         install an individual copy simultaneously on one computer at
  211.         work, one computer at home, and one portable computer, if all
  212.         these computers are used primarily by the same individual, and
  213.         there is no possibility that the computers will be in use at the
  214.         same time except while you are actively transferring files
  215.         between them. (If the Program was purchased by your employer you
  216.         agree to get your employer's explicit permission before
  217.         installing the Program on multiple computers as described above.)

  219.     (B) If you purchased a multi-system license for the Program you agree
  220.         not to install or use it on more computers than the number
  221.         included in your license, as shown on your order form, invoice,
  222.         the program sign-on screen, or other documents from us.

  224. (7) Making and Distributing UNREGISTERED-DEMO Copies of the Program.
  225.     You may make copies of your UNREGISTERED-DEMO Copy of the Program to
  226.     give to others, as long as you include all of the files that you
  227.     originally received with your UNREGISTERED-DEMO Copy.  When you give
  228.     an UNREGISTERED-DEMO Copy of the Program to another person, you agree
  229.     to inform them that their copy is to be used for a time limited
  230.     evaluation period, and that they must purchase a REGISTERED Copy if
  231.     they continue to use the Program once the evaluation period has
  232.     ended.  You agree not to sell UNREGISTERED-DEMO Copies of the Program
  233.     or distribute them to others for any kind of compensation or fee
  234.     unless you have written permission from StepWare Inc..
