  28. This is a demonstration version of the Jack Nicklaus 4 golf simulation.
  29. A separate demo of the Golf Course Designer is also available.
  30. This demo includes the first three holes from Muirfield Village Golf Club.
  31. The following list describes what is in this demo:

  34. *Use one animated golfer.
  35. *Play Stroke Play only.
  36. *Single player or shared keyboard modes of play only.

  41. *A Golf Course Designer to build your own courses.
  42. *Stroke Play, Match Play, Best Score Competitions, Sudden Death, Skins,

  55. 1.  Open the "JN4Demo" Directory
  56. 2.  Double Click the "Setup.exe" icon
  57. 3.  Follow the installations instructions that appear on your screen.

  63. Known problems that will be fixed in the final version:

  65. *On some machines, the swing meter will occasionally hesitate.
  66. *Some stats are not accurate.
  67. *Maximum resolution of 800x600.

  73. Basic Controls:

  75. Right/Left Arrow        Aiming
  76. Up/Down Arrow            Intensity (easy or hard swing with chosen club)
  77. Control Key and Rt/Lt Arrow    Fade/Draw shot
  78. Control Key and Up/Dn Arrow    High/Low shot

  80. All controls can also be made with the mouse.

  82. Swing Meter        
  83. Click on the golfer or hit the space bar to bring up the meter.
  84. Click once to start meter, click again at power mark (top) and
  85. again at accuracy mark (bottom).
  86. Power mark corresponds to clubs distance as seen in the Club Info area
  87. and will be accurate based on shot hit off level fairway with no wind
  88. (in other words, need to compensate for shots out of rough, sand, etc.).

  91. Use right click menu to access most common features.

  94. Choose Animate Grid in the View menu to get additional terrain help.
