  1. Scottish Open Virtual Golf CD README.

  4. Thank you for buying Scottish Open Virtual Golf.
  5.  
  6. LATE ADDITIONS:
  7. If you experience problems running the Full Motion Video sequences in 
  8. the game, try this :-
  9. type:
  10.  
  11. GOLF NOFMV
  12.  
  13. This will disable the Full Motion Video sequences within the game.
  14.  
  15. SOUND PROBLEMS:
  16.  
  17. If you experience no sound or 'gurgling' sound, try setting up your
  18. sound card as 8bit mono. If your card doesn't support mono,
  19. try setting it up as a Soundblaster.

  22. MEMORY PROBLEMS:
  23.  
  24. If the game refuses to work correctly, you may not have enough free ram.
  25. Heres a few examples on how to free up memory:-

  27. (MSDOS 6 and above)
  28. When the computer states: STARTING MSDOS, press F8. this will allow you
  29. to single step through the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files.
  30. (it asks you Y or N for each line)
  31. All you require are:-
  32. HIMEM.SYS, Mouse driver, sound driver and the CD driver (mscdex etc...)
  33.  
  34. (other MSDOS versions)
  35. Create a boot disk, by formatting a blank disk with this command:-
  36. FORMAT A: /S
  37. This will create a boot disk. Boot up with this in drive a:
  38. Dont forget to run a mouse driver before running the game.
