  12. They are required for playing games that have been written to take advantage 
  13. of A3D 3.0. They will also support games written for A3D 1.x or A3D 2.0.

  45. INSTALLATION
  46.  
  47. Running the A3DDRIVERSxxx.EXE file will install the drivers automatically.  If
  48. you need to install these updated files manually for some reason, right click 
  49. on the A3D.INF file and choose Install.  This will copy the A3D.VXD, A3D.DLL, 
  50. A3DAPI.DLL, and A3DSPLSH.EXE files over to their proper folders, as well as 
  51. enter some information into your Registry.

  53. Advanced users may wish to rename or delete the A3DAPI.DLL files from their
  54. local game folders.  This will force the games to use the updated A3DAPI.DLL
  55. in the Windows System folder and may result in a performance increase within
  56. that title.
