  39. INSTALLING
  40. You must first be in the Windows environment to install Inner Space.
  41. 1) Unzip INSPACE.ZIP in a temporary directory. 
  42. There should be 23 files created, including SETUP.EXE. 
  43. 2) Run SETUP.EXE, the Inner Space installer.  
  44. 3) Install Inner Space to a new directory (C:\SPACE by default).
  45.  
  46. STARTING TO PLAY
  47. Run Inner Space (INSPACE.EXE) from Windows.  During the game intro, press 'ESC' to
  48. start a new game. Select a ship to fly into Inner Space.  To start playing, just 
  49. use the arrow keys (Thrust=UP, Turn=LEFT, RIGHT, Brake=DOWN). Use Shift or SPACEBAR
  50. to shoot. For more information about the game, see the online help (press F1 or F2).

  52. SCREEN SAVERS 
  53. Inner Space comes with a configurable screen saver interface so that a changing
  54. game demonstration can be your screen saving display. 
  55.  
  56. SHIP FACTORY
  57. With the Inner Space Ship Factory, you can view all the ships in the game
  58. and compare their characteristics.  You can also use the Factory to make 
  59. customized ships for use in Inner Space!

  61. MIDI MUSIC
  62. If Inner Space's midi music has instruments incorrect or missing, you may need to set
  63. up your MIDI mapper (in the Windows Control Panel).  For Enhanced midi sound cards like
  64. the SB Pro, only channels 1-10 are used.  For Basic midi sound cards, only channels 
  65. 11-16 of the soundtrack are used.
