- {\cf4\b\ul Introduction}
- \par\par{\b About}
- \par\par
- This is {\strike Ralf Brown}{\v id___CONTACT_INFO}'s
- Interrupt List (Release 40 - Last Change 4/3/94),
- a user-supported list of low level Application
- Programming Interfaces for DOS-based PC-environments
- (see: {\strike disclaimer}{\v id___DISCLAIMER}).
- \par\par
- This MS-Windows WINHELP 3.1+ file provides access to a functional
- description of
- 6000 and more API-functions with 10000+ hyperlinked
- cross-references, 600+ productgroups, 150+ glossary terms and
- about 15000 searchable key-items. It was compiled
- out of {\strike Ralf's plain text}{\v id___FILELIST} files
- by {\ul Fred de Jong}{\v id_ShowFred} (Heerlen/Netherlands,
- Internet: fjng@cbs.nl).
- Rob Duff's (Vancouver/Canada) AWK.EXE and
- Microsoft's Help Compiler (HC31.EXE)
- were used to generate and compile source in Rich Text Format.
- \par\par{\b Usage}
- \par\par
- Create a new program item with a commandline like:\par
- WINHELP.EXE C:\\INTLIST\\INTERRUP.HLP.
- \par The file INTERRUP.ICO
- contains an icon to complete the item for the Program Manager.
- \par\par
- The WinHelp {\cf4\b Browse-buttons} support a sequential walk
- through the entire list. On any interrupt-page
- the custom {\cf4\b Group-button} presents an overview
- of the API in the current context.
- \par\par
- A glossary is presented in a secondary window with the {\cf4\b Whatis-button}.
- \par\par
- The {\cf4\b Formats-button} provides access to a list of named
- Argument / Parameter / Control Blocks. Each entry is hyperlinked to
- the interrupt-page where the block's format is specified.
- \par\par
- Use the WinHelp {\cf4\b Search-button} to access specific
- interrupt numbers, API-groups or topics:
- {\par\par}
- \tx240\li240\fi-240
- \tab{\i find interrupts} by there
- number and function register with
- search-keys like 'INT 21/AX=1234h' and
- 'INT 14/AH=45h/BX=1234h';
- \line\par
- \tab{\i select API-groups}
- with search-keys like 'GROUP: DOS' and 'GROUP: Intel PCI BIOS';
- \line\par
- \tab{\i get a list of pages} referring to specific topics
- with search-keys like 'Novell' and 'LAN Manager'.
- \par
- \pard\tx960\tx1920\tx2880\tx3840\tx4800
- \par
- Each interrupt-page starts with a line holding the number,
- optional {\strike flags}{\v id___FLAGS}. and a short description
- of it's function.
- Ralf's {\strike categories}{\v id___CATEGORIES} are not used.
